Okay. The cat is either dead or alive.
It is impossible for it to be both at the same time.
Can someone explain?

Ok, drunk and trying to be helpful. The cat in the box has no basis in real world physics. It was a theoretical model intended to be ridiculous. BUT, when compared to quantum phys, it makes some sense. SO. The cat is a sub atomic particle. In order to observe said particule, I have to use a theoretically infinitesimally small photon. The minute energy my photon impacts upon that sub atomic particle changes it's path. All schrodinger tells us is that the cat(partidle) may not be simultaneously observed and known for exact position.
