Well, when you look at this picture, its kinda hard to say we are the only ones here. This is a tiny section of the sky, and look what it holds. (Enlarge) Feel tiny yet? This picture literally has trillions of stars in it, those dots are GALAXIES, billions of light years away.

That's the Hubble Deep Field if anybody is curious. They picked a black patch of sky, and held the Hubble telescope on it for days, and it turns out that the "empty" patch of sky was actually filled with tens of thousands of galaxies.
I saw someone mention something about ancient aliens, in all honesty, I wish all that was really true (About them visiting us that is) which would mean Faster Than Light Travel is possible and we won't be stuck in this tiny solar system forever..
