I'm working on a homebrew chapter. Sucessor Chapter to Dark Angels [because im lazy and don't want to use a diff' codex] called the Bronzeguard Angels.

So I'm thinking of buying some Warhammer40k figurines not for table top as no one i know plays them more for a hobby of painting and decorating. So where, what and which should i buy? My personal favourites are space marines because space marines. So less for playing more for hobby. If you have an answer of any queries send me a PM as shotgunized.

Very nice, I'll suggest getting a pin-vice though to drill barrel holes in the tip of the stormbolter.(Not sure if you did this or not on your other guys you showed.) It adds a bit more of depth and most seasoned painters/modellers will probably make the same suggestion to you.

You should use the same eye color lenses for your space marines, it turned out very nice here.

I already have changed the lens colour. I'll have to look up a video or image of where to drill the Storm Bolter holes, thanks for the tip.

Same general idea as this when it comes to drilling. I usually use a nail or thumb-tack to start a guide hole first. Sorry I don't have any handy of a stormbolter or combi-bolter. My camera is still at the farm, so can't get a decent quality one of it.

looks like you didn't thin out your paint, anyway it looks very flat (you should ink/wash it once) I'd give it a 4/10

small tipp to, sand/design your base before you paint your models

Thanks for the feedback.
Someone has already said the same thing, only problem with an ink is that I don't have any, and the closest hobby shop is 2hours + away.
I did thin my paint, I'll probably try thinning it more.
I use "Game Colours" paint, a company that used to make the GW paints I believe. It's got the same colours, but under a different name.

Vallejo Colors are my personal favorite
about the ink, you could just water down pigments/colors
also what works (what i sometimes do) on hard surfaces plaimly just fill in the gaps with dark colours instead of washing, looks cleaner and more mechanic
(i'll see if i can find a camera with good makro settings, i'll post a pic then)

Did everything myself. No airbrush yet sadly.
I primed the all the units in silver, and thought for some parts 'hey, I could just not paint here and it'd look cool for certain details.'

You should do that. It makes the colors "stick" better and alot of paints are easier to use afterwards.

It also gives it more "depth". If you watch a few painting videos you will se that everyone basecoat it, either black or white depending on what you want to achieve.

You can pick up a can of Krylon white primer pretty cheap, it does wonders for base coating, helps the paint stick very well.
