know its been a while but for the future, a battle force will save you money but is a big purchase on its own. depending on what army you want to start the battle force is the best way to go. the starter boxes are good too cause they give you the rulebook templates and measuring sticks for free but dont give you as large a force as the battle kits do.

If you are wanting AOBR units, use EBAY! Second-hand or individual units in the box can still be bought moderately cheap.

The reason for AOB costing 200$ is because it is out of production. If you were to buy each individual unit it would cost +250$( not counting def coptas because you can only get them in metal and therefore they are expensive as **** ). This gives you much more customization options and bitz..

But if I were you I would decide which army to go for and then buy one of their Battle Forces. They are not any cheaper but you mostly get what you need to start playing in them. Then you just have to buy a codex, rulebook and maybe one unit.

Don't really think there's any way to fix your paint but you can try with water i guess, just don't use to much. Start with a littel and "work" your way upp.
