I long decided that to live as I see fit, to gain what I please, and to refuse service to an oppressive imperium, an overbearing inquisition, and a corpse-god is certainly Right.
When I was chosen and I heard his voice I knew what was right. What would bring me happiness and satisfaction and what I aspire to and want. True, had I refused her offer I would likely have been damned or flayed or something worse, but then again, the inquisition would have done the same to me merely for being spoken to at all.
