Well it may go well, but your battle brothers should be wearing mark 2 -5 which is available at forgeworld. And just so you know the Alpha Legion has access to technology that allows them to appear like normal humans, even with power armor. Also, you cant bring any scout units as they wouldnt be found in an alpha legion army, which kills your infiltration. i reccomend more aircraft as well because a thunderhawk or stormhawk variant is able to drop troops on any position. I reccommend comprising it mainly of tactical marines, and if you wait some time you can likely field alpharius and omegon as the primarch miniatures are being slowly made and available, once again at forgeworld. Angron is the only one released as of right now though

The whole point of this list is that the Alpha legion is infiltrating a chapter so therefore they will have access to all standard space marine equipment and unites. As for Alpharius, they all are Alpharius.

Well this would be a better hq unit, and so better leadership, bonuses to sneaking, he may even grant all units in his command the infiltration ability. I think that may be best. And what about adding an inquisitor. it would seal the reputation of them as true marines, which is exactly alpha legions style

Only problem is adding a Iquisitor to a Space Marine/ GUard force

Not really, its common. Make the inquisitor in charge of the guard force and the primarch in charge of the marines, count them as two seperate but allied armies

Yes but you can only have on allied force and Iquisitors can't be taken by the guard.

Well if you are big into the books then you know that inquisitors often requisition IG and Space Marine forces, so it is possible. Just make sure your opponent is okay with the idea

I have no idea if that'd work.
If the paintjob and impersonation is just fluff and doesn't effect the unit stats I think it's fine.

I watched a video where some guy fluffed with the Allies rule, and painted a set of Terminators Tau colours, and called them "A new Tau Battlesuit." He played them like normal terminators.

Everything will still be played as normal space marines and guard unites, the only game changing things would have to be house rules: like you can choose warlord trait or somthing like that.

I'm ~pretty~ sure that in an allied force, the two separate armies don't get the bonus of their leader or w/e.

Only if they are battle brothersm the rule says:

Battle brothers are treated as friendly units from all points of view. This means for example that Battle Brothers:
Are counted as being friendly units for the targeting of psychic powers, abilities and so on.

The only limit is that they can't embarke in each others transports.

Right, right.
Thanks for clearing that up. Never mind then.

No problem
