Because after Dunkirk, we basically sat in the British Isles giving Germany the finger until D-Day

Minor skirmishes. We didn't have the numbers to do large-scale
bombing raids, so we mainly left it to the USA. It was mostly the
Commonwealth in other countries, though the few British regiments
out there were rather vital to success in some theatres.

And to be fair, we did our part in the first two years before America decided to show it's face. Essentially we were as clinical as any country in the war. Everyone did their part. I personally believe if it weren't for us not getting invaded, Europe would have fallen as the Germans could concentrate solely on one front. (That's how I see it anyway)

Yes, I have understated Britain a bit too much. We were slashing at the tendons i AFrica and Italy mainly

Battle of Britain from the sky was one of the biggest parts of the war. Britain was days away from being over turned by the German air force. If that was to happen, D-Day would of not been possible with having such a close well equipped (after Americans had arrived) area of land next to occupied France and Germany to fuel and base the war in Europe.

Never said the Battle of Britain wasn't important. I mentioned the Bombing Raids. The British Air Force smashed the Luftwaffe, yes.

We played a huge role in Africa, without Britain it would have been lost

Completely forgot about Africa... Fair enough. Africa and the Invasion of Sicily and Italy. Operation Mincemeat was a stroke of genius.

Im pretty sure the British force failed in the invasion of Italy, whereas the American General Patton not only successfully destroyed the Italian frontline but also forced Mussolini to flee leaving Italy to its people.
