I think of Daniel Craig as a completely different type of Bond. A reboot if you will. The Craig films did away will all the campy goodness that the other bonds brought to the table, and I like that.

My top 3:
1. Craig
2. Connery
3. Dalton

All of them are great.

It's sort of weird though, because for a lot of people, that is what made Bond. Like people who don't like that Bond, should just go off and watch Bourne Superemecy or whatever. Leave Bond as Bond. :/

Yeah, but things evolve over time. I don't think it's changed so much that it's unrecognizable. It still retains a lot of what made bond great but in a more modern fashion.

I agree... I don't even think the films are that bad, it's just that they're no longer Bond movies. The plot of Skyfall was complete crap as far as I'm concerned... had none of the lightness of the old bonds or at least the sense of Casino Royale.

You know, in Ian Fleming's books Bond was very much like Craig's Bond. In fact, Ian Fleming hated Sean Connery in Dr. No.

Oh I'm well aware of that, this is just a personal preference. :)

I'm aware of that as well, just stating a fact. It's also why I like Craig as Bond.
