Game Boy Micro master race

>master race
>Can't even play original game boy or GB color games
User avatar #127 to #65 - palewolf (07/26/2013) [-]
That's why you keep a Game Boy too

>Keeping an original GB when you can just have an SP

Face it, Micro is the worst GB

But that design is still nice though

I have a GB, GBC, GBA, GBA SP and a GBM

Micro is the most portable, and has the best screen. Like I mentioned in comment #40, I bought it so that I could play it in history class without my teacher noticing, that wouldn't have been possible with any of the other models
User avatar #54 to #38 - curtkobain (07/26/2013) [-]
oh and the problem with the micro is it can't use all the add ons like the gamecube gameboy advance link and such things.

It is possible, I think, with an adapter. However it's quite hard to find, as well as being expensive. I just keep my old GBA and SP for that.

Ya it's definitely nice to have considering it's size but I'm perfectly content with my sp.

I'm surprised that never really caught on, thing was pretty cool.
User avatar #52 to #39 - curtkobain (07/26/2013) [-]
It never caught on because the ds was already released and it wasn't advertised.

I only got one recently (2 or 3 years ago), so that I could play it in history class without my teacher noticing, but it was honestly one of the best purchases I've ever made and I wish I'd got one earlier
User avatar #41 to #40 - majormoron (07/25/2013) [-]
Nice. I think it was awesome, but I only ever saw one in my middle school days.

I'd recommend getting one, as they're probably quite cheap now (I got mine for about £40, in really good quality), as well as a flashcart, that can keep you entertained for hours upon hours
User avatar #43 to #42 - majormoron (07/25/2013) [-]
Flashcart?
#45 to #43 - palewolf (07/26/2013) [-]
It's a GBA cartridge with a slot for a miniSD card on the side, you put all of the roms you want on the miniSD card, then put that in the cartridge, and you can play that. It just means that you can have access to all of your games at once, without having to take 30+ cartridges with you all the time. And you can just leave it in the GBA once you have all the roms you want.

How much did you pay for the EZ Flash IV? I've been looking for them ever since they stopped production of them. Ez flashes are about 80 bucks on ebay/amazon whenever I find them. And the Supercard Mini SD is not that good of a substitute.

I got mine for about £20 (Which I think included postage from the U.S.)

Well, If you like that idea, you might like this one more.

1. Get a NDS lite (They're about $70) ..
I got one from here dx.com/p/nintendo-ds-lite-portable-entertainment-console-limited-edition-pocket-monsters-refurbished-21530

It's refurbished, and I'd say the build quality is 90%, the only problem I have is that the right shoulder button isn't very sensitive. But the battery, screen and the rest of it is refurbished perfectly. Pic related, It's the NDSLite design I have
2. Get a M3/R4 Chip and Micro SD card from ebay or wherever you can get one. I'm not certain of how legal the chips are, so you might not find one on ebay. Personally I got mine from a small cheap asian run computer store in the city of Sydney. This is the one I have and it works quite well You need to login to view this link

3. Play any NDS or advance game including homebrew/hacked games like Pokemon Blaze Black or Volt White.

I'm more than certain that ds flashcarts don't have the power to play gba games. Theres only like one or two that can and they're like 40 bucks.

I know, I've attempted trying to find one for my gba.
User avatar #117 to #115 - billybong (07/26/2013) [-]
Well, you might be right. I'll be honest I haven't tried to play GBA games apart from cartridge ones on my NDS. But couldn't you always just put a GBA flashcart into the bottom of a DS? or is there DRM in the DS to prevent that?

Either way, I do like DS games a bit more than advance.
User avatar #125 to #117 - curtkobain (07/26/2013) [-]
If i remember correctly the flashcarts don't work on a ds. Don't hold me to that though.

The problem is gba flash carts are hard to come by nowadays and are fairly expensive.
User avatar #55 to #47 - chaossniper (07/26/2013) [-]
there is a similar one to the nds

The problem is that the aren't really made anymore and not many sites sell them. Ebay is gay because it's against their terms and agreements so you either have to get lucky buying one from a site or hope someone on a forum is willing to sell you one.

Download roms and install then in the gamecard
