But, as everyone else has pointed out already, that name just needs to go. Seriously, Linkle? Just keep calling her Link. Or, hell, why not call her Cable and or some other word that means "Link?" But Linkle?

Hopefully they'll change it by the time it actually comes out due to fan reaction, because that name is pretty bad.

Link is "Rinku" in japanese. By changing the last "ku" to "ko", it's now "Rinko", an actual female japanese name. However that comes with the unfortunate problem of translating it back to English. the closest thing to what it sounds is "Linkle".
While it's still unknown how exactly she is related to link. It's theorized that she's something like a sister to him, or at the very least her own character. Not a female link, thus a different name. Although, I do agree a tongue and cheek name like "Cable" would be better off for her than a straight translation, but whatever.
