That is some impressive **** right there, sir. I would imagine the price for an internet speed like that would be rather high, though. Like 3 Bill Gates a month high.

It's actually 4 Bill Gates a month, but it's totally worth it.

And then we sadly realize steam caps download at 2mbs for server load reasons

Really?
now this is in belgium. under the provider telenet.
steam provides me an average 17-25 mb download. 40 if its a calm day. (not allot of users online)
basicly a 1GB game takes me about 10-20 minutes if not less.
Steam doesn't cap that much. you can chose yourself what it caps and even then its pretty fast. these complaints might be you located too far from a steam server or the local trafic slowing you down.

with fibernet ive gotten 56 mb/s as my top hit

Quite possible indeed. it all depends on your location and your provider. also the moment of download and the type of modem. steam itself rarely caps. this being the major point.

10GB/s?

confusing comment but I'll answer anyways, it costs about 150$/mo and I live in London.

I have to go to Toronto speedtest servers (Teksavvy specifically) cause it seems like most of the ones around here I tried won't show my speed over 50-75max xD

Sure, using internet over 2mb/s is just a lie they tell you, its actually capped at that for everything, its the same as comparing dicks really, you cant do that effectively online so we compare internet speeds.
User avatar #6 to #4 - tamagotchi (07/17/2013) [-]
That "cap" is just your ****** internet

Didn't know steam glitched that way.

Normally download speed spikes when downloading files less than a kb but not to that amount. IDK.
#14 - anon (07/17/2013) [-]
I had no idea my download speed was so **** since reading the comments. I get AT MOST 200kb/s, and my computer isn't even bad.
