I want a horror game with a mic set that relies
on you being quiet when there is a monster or
something, because the sound you make, not
your character, but you lures it and gives away
your position so if you scream or breath heavily
it can give you away so you play most of the
game in mute terror
or purposefully shout to draw It say tor like a challenge
or to save a tre no In mulitiplayer or something

I've seen some comments point out how you could just turn off the mic, or how easy it would be to just stfu.

Think about this:

The game is a co-op.

Up to four players navigate a randomly generated facility, having to explore and solve very different puzzles each game to escape. Many puzzles (not all) require some teamwork to be solved easily, (Can be solved solo, like if everyone else is dead, you might still be able to escape). The catch is this: Talking will give you away to any horrible monster that is chasing the four guys. It will not be blind or anything, but it will have no omnisense like the monsters usually do in other games, so it will just be searching wildly around the facility, until it see's or hears someone.

The thing is, and this is based on the players not cheating and using skype or TS or something, but if the players use the ingame mic system They have no way to communicate apart from giving themselves away to the monster if it is nearby

The players will not be notified when a fellow player dies, so imagine the desperation when the last player alive is hissing angrily into his mic, hoping his friends are alive, not knowing the monster is right on the other side of that thin wall.

Also - Locational mic hearing - a player talking in one end of the facility can only hear other players if they are yelling very loudly - but this of course also gives them away to the monster. Different degrees of mic volume gives different radius of player percievance of what you are trying to say.

The perfect horror game!

Any PC gamer worth their salt will have a mic, but mics breaking is just tough **** , it happens, you just go to the store and by a new cheap one for $10-20 bucks when you can.

I'd love this, if people wouldn't just move their mics away.
But I guess it would be like Amnesia, the game trusts you not to turn your brightness setting up, because you're playing it for the experience, not to win.

ok for everyone that says "oo im gonna disable the mic" why the hell would you do that? i mean why buy the game in the first place if you are just too scared to play it?

and a good way that will not make you mute the mic is to make some things in the facility voice controlled
