We can enhance if we want to

I'm playing through Human Revolution for the first time, and all these ignorant cyborg-haters piss me off. And what pisses me off even more is how goddamn accurate it is. I mean, this is the series that predicted 9/11. All these idiotic luddites protesting vaccines and GMOs would surely have a problem with this kind of thing, and this technology saves lives and almost perfectly replaces lost limbs.

>MFW those articles.
That's not so much as cyborg hate as just people being assholes, serious assholes...who need to take a large wrench to the knees and head.
But this man had ******* documentation at all incidents, followed all procedures, and it's the grunts who have the audacity to take things into their own hands. These people must have no concept of chain-of-command or basic human (cyborg?) decency. This man isn't just some cyberpunk proto-hipster, he's a researcher doing his job by just living his life the way he chose to: by integrating computers into his body.

lol, I just got around to playing this game last week, I played through the entire game in like, two days. I liked it.
However, not all the augmented people wanted to get the augments, such as the chinese whores, or other people. Some people would rather die than get augments that would save their lives, as they would just be stuck using medicine for their entire lives, which is expensive, and live with uncomfortable augments.
Contrary to what you said, about perfectly replacing lost limbs, its not perfect. It just happened to work perfectly for Jensen.

The worst part is that one girl who says something like "you shouldn't have polluted your perfectly good body like that"

I wish there was any way to respond to her, because she actually doesn't seem too bad, just really ignorant.

If only Jensen would speak up and actually mention "This **** isn't cosmetic, I got slammed through a wall and shot in the ******* head. I needed these to live."

Wasn't she the one with tattoos smoking in front of the office buildings?

Me too, bro. There was this janitor in Jensen's building who was all like "If it were up to me, this place would have a no-aug policy". Since I couldn't talk some sense into him, I decided to beat some sense into him and punched his lights out. Unfortunately, everyone nearby started acting like I was robbing a bank and started cowering in fear, so I just decided to punch his lights out. And what really drove me up the wall was when you can overhear Jensen's neighbors fighting because the wife cheated on her husband because she "wanted to be with someone normal". If you could actually interact with them, I would've ******* murdered that lady.

Sorry, I meant to say "reload my save". I couldn't punch him out twice.

I can understand a woman wanting to be with a man who doesn't have metal bits sticking out of him.

Honestly I get it, and I can't really blame her.

i mean, it's still a relationship ender, but it's not the sort of thing that provokes violence. Simply "if you can't accept me as I am, then we should probably break up"

That said, it's rather irritating that your only method of interacting with these sorts of people is violence. Asking the janitor why he thinks that the hotel shouldn't let Augs in would be interesting.

Considering the number of Auged up gangsters, I can see where he might be coming from, but if you bring up war vets, or your own history as a cop/guard who was crippled in the line of duty...

Jensen has the perfect sympathy story, if only he'd stop and ******* talk about himself.

You don't understand. They both have augs. And she starts playing the victim card and saying that she just wanted to "remember what it was like to be with someone normal", even though she's augmented as well.
User avatar #22 to #20 - iamnuff ONLINE (09/16/2015) [-]
So? Her being augmented doesn't detract from her point at all. she's not talking about herself, she's talking about him.

It's like a Bi girl cheating on her girlfriend because she wanted to be with a guy for a change. The fact that she's a girl too doesn't mean she's not allowed to crave the cock every now an then.

Besides, just picture two augs trying to have sex, with the constant clack clack clack of the metal bits bumping against each-other.

You have a point. I just really hate the hypocrisy. But there's still no excuse for cheating. And I'm not saying it's reason for violence, in games I just tend to murder people that annoy me. Half of Whiterun is dead in my Skyrim playthrough.
User avatar #24 to #23 - iamnuff ONLINE (09/16/2015) [-]
It's not hypocrisy.

It would be hypocrisy if the husband found himself a nice human girl to screw and then his wife complained about it, even though she did the same thing.
As it is, she's claiming that she needed a man who's 100% flesh to fulfil her needs. She didn't claim that her husband shouldn't go do the same thing.

After killing countless children in illegal medical experiments because the "Enhancements" were being biologically rejected by hmmmmm... EVERYONE EXCEPT THE MAIN CHARACTER!!!!

Yeah, totally cool. Why don't people just understand that science can't progress without sacrificing children?
#16 to #15 - anon (09/16/2015) [-]
I mean it's not really bad if all the kids are dead already right?

The Science got done and they made a neat gun for the people who are still alive.

It's not like their suffering... anymore... cause they died... very painfully and alone...

Can't wait for "Deus Ex: Mankind Divided"!
How do you like "human revolution" so far?

Pretty good.

There are also bound to be a few people who ask to get cyborg enhancements with a real need for them, just to become stronger, faster, harder, better, etc. and then promptly abuse them, giving those against augmentations a reason to piss and moan even more.

I for one fully support fully bionic prosthetics, just so long as there isn't anything like the constant need for Neuropozyne and pain killers for the rest of the person's life.

Recently did a no-kills, no-alarms run in Human Revolution to prepare for Mankind Divided, so stoked.
