Valiant Hearts
So I just finished Valiant Hearts: The great war.
I loved this game. The story was amazing and beautiful, it felt well researched and rich in history and was a very accurate depiction of the world during WWI. I think one of its best qualities was that, it was a game during a time of war that didnt focus on the war. It showed how the war effected technology and people. It shows the ravaging of the land from bombing and pollution of the air in smough and chlorine (chlorine gas is used frequently in the game, while the depiction of its effects isnt as grim as they really look, it still is able to show how horrifying it was). It tells a story of loss, of revenge, of grief, of love and love lost, and of freindship. The puzzles in the game were sometimes challenging and even some of the side scrolling, run while avoiding artillery and gunfire, scenes were hard aswell.
The whole game was filled with emotion and by the end I was nearly in tears. Id love to say more about the ending but won't for obvious reasons.
