What luck you have my dear.
That is a wondrous roll to have.
Would you consider working for me?
As I have had no luck selling my good on the surface.
Ahuhuhu~
Well, basically, this kid falls into a hole underground, which leads to a World populated by Monsters. They're separated from the Human World for reasons I can't tell you because of spoilers.
They're led by King Asgore, who wants to invade the Human World for reasons I can't say because spoilers.
The common consensus seems to be that, although the gameplay is okay, the story is much better.
The best description would be... fourth wall breaking without breaking the fourth wall by making reasons within the game for why the fourth wall gets broken =3 plus an amazing story-line that will drive you insane if you try to solve all the mysteries.
undertale is an rpg, and it has 3 endings. the neutral route, the pacifist route, and the genocide route also known as the "bad time" route. I dont personally know why the fandom blew up but i think its because you become friends with people in the pacifist route and then you kill them all in the genocide route, and the game breaks the fourth wall on different occasions.
its a pretty good game, i recommend it. but if you dont want to buy it, totally understandable.
Toby Fox claims that Frisk has no gender but it has been confirmed that Chara, the original human child who fell into the ruins is a girl. So yeah, ain't that some **** dat don't stink?
I don't know, am I the only one who prefers the game just the way it is? I mean, 3d graphics are good but 2d graphics have a special charm I can't find in 3d graphics. Maybe it's just because I was raised with those graphics and it's that but I really like Undertale the way it is. The sprites are very neat the way they are and I'm not sure if a 3d version would be that good.
I can agree if it's well made, I bet a lot of battles would be incredibly great with some good 3d graphics Asgore, Sans, Undyne, Muffet . But I tend to be reluctant with this kind of stuff because of the general tendency of being ******** than the original.
Hey, imo if they want to make it I say PLEASE DO becuase you either A. Get something awesome and it really was a good thing that it was made or B. it sucks lets just forget about it and love the original.
The only one who would really lose is the maker, cus he put time into a game that was ****** .
He says in some of the posts that he is not making a real 3d UnderTale game, he just likes doing low poly models. Even better he will be giving them away when he's finished!!!
I killed all of the bosses because i thought it would be like actual bosses where you couldn't stop it, the ending part with sans was just ******* brilliant because when he talked about all of that, it made me a little bit mad because i gauarantee any other RPG will never have that tactic, i should've listened to the frog guy, but the guy should've said spare everyone instead of just spare when you can excluding the ****** undertale spinoffs
After trying to talk to her for 10 minutes while kiting which by then, given the protagonist's sharp wits up until that point, should've given me a chance to tell goatmom to just take a chillpill and expain **** I came to the brilliant conclusion that neither talking NOR SPARING would work "Since I'm opting for a peacefull aproach, shouldn't it also be technically the same as showing mercy?" was how I saw it, and it still is . My next brilliant idea was to quit midfight unaware of how she would act If I was in critical HP , reload from the save and to just do minimum damage each turn, hoping to just exhaust her while proving I'm not helpless.
My following state of denial was more because of how I suddeny did +%1500 of my regular damage So did Frisk suddenly decided to poke her in the eye, ehh Toby? than how I didn't see it coming/didn't try harder on the peacefull aproach.
However, I am actually fairly glad it went that way. I'm certain by now that killing Tori the first time is expected as it teaches players that sparing (by then only worked as "skipping") can be used differently if you missed the memo earlier like me. That and Flowey's speach afterwards takes on a whole other level in this scenario
Still, the ordeal kinda developed a fight-button-fobia in me mfw when I leaned what you're supposed to do facing Asgore I actually went back to square one thinking the butt-pie I wasted on undyne was the answer to stoping Fluffybuns before learning no regrets
tl;dr been there, not feeling as much shame as you'd expect
The first time i was fighting her, i was using the 'pokemon' tactic as in..lower her heath to the last drop and stop right there.. didn't go as planned
It's just to ride the bandwagon, had he done an animation of John Melaney sorry I'm not looking up how to spell his name with artists rendition of all his friends it would be much less popular, as it stands he's gotten a ton of views. His other videos mimic this, avenue Q racist song intro with Toriel, John Melaney again at a restaurant in Chicago/grilbys.
I don't even care about this game, but I love seeing the fans and their fan content.
This bandwagon unites people. This is a constructive bandwagon.
The ones calling it "cancer" for bringing people together probably never got along with friends or family in real life. That is a destructive bandwagon.
I like how fun and creative this community is.
I would participate in it, but I'm trying to focus on my animation project and avoiding video games for a while.
I hope you find time to play it. I picked it up and after completing the true ending, I have never felt so moved by a game before. One man with some help of his friends managed to create a masterpiece that's going to be really hard to top in terms of story. I'm glad FJ and this bandwagon led me to see what all the hype was about, and play it.
MLP brings people together. They make lots of high quality OC.
Mkay, just lemme dump some MLP here.
Oh wait, that's stupid. This is Undertale content. MLP doesn't belong here. To do so would be strange and inconsiderate of me. Autistic, if you will.
So when strange, inconsiderate people post Undertale content where it doesn't belong, excuse me for being a little annoyed. And when they do it practically everywhere, excuse me for being very annoyed.
I've never played it, but Undertale is by all accounts an excellent and marvelously inventive game. I'd hate to see it as reviled as Steven Universe only because of a few noisy people who think they're above social rules.
"Fallout brings people together. They make lots of high quality mods.
Mkay lemme just dump fallout on FJ all year long"
Oh wait, that's stupid.
To do so would be strange and inconsiderate of me.
Don't get me wrong, I get where you're coming from.
But I think everyone should be welcome to share their stuff as long as it isn't spammed.
And I'm sorry, but there's been a spam bias going on.
Aside from wholly failing to grasp the difference between mainstream and niche appeal, no, you don't see where I'm coming from, and frankly it doesn't seem that you even tried. If you did, you wouldn't have just sanctioned behavior that, apart from being the demise of so many other fandoms, is observably hurting this game, implied that those who find such behavior irritating are jerks who don't know how to interact with people, or done so in such an insufferably patronizing manner.
People are indeed welcome to share things, such as this nice compilation, in the proper time and place, which it is. For the most part, that's not what's been happening. Assuming that everyone else is the problem is textbook myopia and the exactly wrong thing to do.
