Violence is caused by video games =/= Video games cause violence.

The former has wording that makes it sound like video games are the only cause of violence. And nobody ever argued that. So it's redundant to draw a rebuttal. As for the latter, it's debatable. I enjoy FPS games, and I honestly don't care much for the issue. Just don't make ****** arguments.

Behold, you do not have to submit a valid logical argument to convey a point. People have been violent throughout history, but people are only a witness to modern violence, and so it is easy to persuade them that modern violence is new. This picture reminds them that it's not.

Well,in modern times up until now it hasnt been normal for a kid to walk into a school and start shooting people, but I dont blame video games,I dont blame music, violence on tv, or guns.

I just think we've simply degraded as a society.

Everybody was so obsessed with change for changes sake that we've culturally ****** ourselves, and nobody really has an answer.

It's still not normal... You act like school shootings happen literally every day. Normality means that any other way is out of the ordinary.

I don't know where you live, but school shootings have never, and are not, the normal day to day activity.

of course its not "normal",but most killings aren't "normal" in the sense that its common for somebody to see them, were talking about an emerging phenomenon . To deny that they're not frequent or that this isnt a relatively new thing is ignorance.

I think what you are overlooking, is that instantaneous media is a new thing. Tragedies like school shootings have been happening as long as there have been crazy people and guns (hell, you don't evenneed the gun). But with the advent of television and the internet especially, you hear about things you wouldn't have before. News from all around the world gets to you minutes after it happens. This gives the illusion that things happen more frequently than they used to, but it's just that, an illusion. Human nature hasn't changed, the sample size has just gotten bigger.
