How are the feminists going to respond, though? It's a female character that's an obnoxiously swapped version of an established character, which is what they like, because **** lore or anything that makes a character unique.

You realize she not just an obnoxiously swapped version of Link? Sure the idea sprang from that, Pokemon was planned to have a female player option, nearly every other game with a silent player character lets you pick boy or girl
Tecmo Koei just took that idea and has turned it into a full fledged character, they even say explicitly in the trailer this is a new character (meaning its not just a skin or costume for link) and that she comes from a new village in the game and even has her own reason for going on whatever adventure she's going on.
Also " **** lore"? You realize this is a side game, and one that has the Twilight Realm, Death Mountain with the Goron Village, and Skyloft all in the same game, are you telling me Lana and Cia shouldn't exist because of the precious "lore"?

Not a fan of the name, don't really care though.
What this does present us with is an interesting option for future Zelda games, past the one for Wii U, which still doesn't have an official name.
Being able to choose Link or Linkle at the beginning of the game. Very little dialog would need to change, need to hire a voice actress for her "dialog," but little else would be different.

this is part of a new game called Hyrule Warriors Legends, this game is non canon in anyway
so while i will admit this is stupid at least this is not from a main LoZ title.
