The whole viewpoint thing is meant to contribute to the story because supposedly you have to sync with your ancestor, and so this was another way. Besides, I loved doing the leap of faith after syncing.

nonono, brotherhood was perfect
revelations was short, and that annoying bombmaking, ********************* that
and 3 removed more good stuff than they added + the story was kinda stupid

Brotherhood...perfect? No, no, no, no. I liked it aswell, of course, but it had the worst story of them all. Revelations wasn't short, and bomb crafting was completely optional, and quite fun, if you ask me. And had an amazing story.

But the best one would have to be AC2. Amazing story, although the optional missions were really, really ******.

personal opinion and all
I respect yours, you respect mine

never played 2 though, I bought 1, and it was a huge piece of boring ****, I never managed to finish it, so I figured 2 would end up the same way

i thought assassins creed 1 was okay. I played 2, Brotherhood and then revelations and then the first assassins creed in that order. (still haven't played 3) It is the worst one in the series but i think my opinion only comes from the fact that the rest are better. Like if i bought the game when it was new i would be like holy **** this is ******* awesome.

no, you would think "******************", and then it would deteriorate into an "*********************************"

haha maybe but being that assassins creed 2 was the first game of the series i played and i went around and found all the feathers, did all the viewpoints and optional missions as well i don't think the repetitiveness would have bothered me as much if i got it new. It bothers me now though but it probably wouldn't have then.

You're so missing out. I couldn't stand AC1 either, haven't finished it, but AC2 is amazing. Venice is so beautiful it's easy to lose yourself there. I honestly recommend it. And the story is sublime.
