as you progress into the game and you use quiet enough you will unlock a new outfit in the RnD i have it for her. theres also one where she has the skimpy outfit but is covered from top to toe in blood.
after finishing the game, i honestly have no idea why people keep saying she died. have they not actually played that far in the game or are they just idiots?
she could take the shot thing that prevents the parasites from mating.
You know, it could also show a great moment where she comes over her rage for snake and accepts that deep down, loves him and then we'd finally have a happy love story in the mgs series!
in mgs5 when certain character you fulton can be played instead of playing as snake. this will improove they're stats and some of them come with different perks like "longer reflex mode" and other ones. but if you die when playing these character unlike snake that character wont come back. so if you die with the character you loose it.
Isn't that like one of the hardest things to get for her though? Atleast from a small bit I heard watching 2 Best Friends play it, the least skimpy gear in the game for her is the hardest to get
Cripes, I didn't know people would get so defensive over my dislike of a cosmetic item's appearance and lack of any form of customization. Not talking about your responses, by the way Okay then.
would have much preferred that to be her default look tbh. and before anyone says "she photosynthetic she needs to show that much skin to breath!" the end was photosynthetic and he wore a ******* ghillie suit.
Isn't it explained in mgs 5 how all the abilities that come from the parasites came from the remains of the end (and maybe other members from the cobra unit, the fear or the pain i think)? I'm prety sure that's what code talker said and did So the special powers you witness in this game originated from the cobra unit.
i think hes costume is silly too. but to be acurate to the lore. ¨
quiet uses photosynthesis because her internal organs responisble for breathing was ireversibly damaged when ahab killed her in the begining of the game by burning her.
thus they made it so she can use photosynthesis to replace the lack of abillity to breathe.
the end had no such problem and therefore wouldnt suffocate if he wasnt able to use the photosynthesis. it was merely a replacement for food and water in cases where he would have to lay still for multiple days to make a shot at hes targets.
Let's not pretend like they didn't shoehorn that "lore" in there for the sole purpose of having a scantily clad secondary character. There's nothing inherently wrong about that, but I don't believe for a second that it was to deepen and enhance the lore of the game.
I haven't played the game so I don't know about the lore, but the fishnet stockings and thong are really just there to be there. If she was really photosynthetic than why doesn't she just wear gym shorts, nothing on her legs, and a sports bra. Hell keep the bikini top if you want fan service, but the G-String and stockings seem... unnecessary.
buy hey for all I know it's explained at some point so I'm really just talking out of my ass lol
But it didn't add anything substantial to the lore, i liked Quiet as a character and as an ally nevertheless, but you gotta admit, next to introducing a potential love interest, her backstory is just a weak excuse to get her half-naked. Imagine MGSV's storyline without Quiet, at all... I imagine it going pretty much the same.. Also i love anything MGS-related, even this, i'm just not gonna lie, Quiet is just eye-candy, nothing more, nothing less... And that's just fine IMO
I think Quiet was to have a lot more backstory in Chapter 3, since she doesn't die in the mission that you lose her. It's said in some interview that she's still alive, so i assume she'd come back in Chapter 3. Too bad that we're never getting Chapter 3.
Why must you hurt me in such ways... I secretly still hope they'll still release it somehow, i'd even buy it if it were to be DLC ******* Konami, man..
You say it's for the lore, so.... i'm just saying it doesn't add anything to the lore, like, at all.... I'm glad we agree on the silly costume, though.
i said i think its silly. but he tried to use a argument saying the end was photosynthetic but didnt need to wear little clothes. but the end could breath fine by hes own while quiet cant. is it stupid yes. is it a important difference in the lore also yes. you should read the coment i replied to before butting inn.
It's still a lame excuse for getting her naked, it's also not really that important in the lore as i explain in the spoilers, that's why i think >>#6 isn't having any of that, but oh well... I also guess you're right on the flaming lungs part, but still it looks like a bad excuse to me, for what is definitely a top game overall.
Ok, you seem to be one of the few that hate quiet's outfit but are still calm, so i wonder
Why do you dislike the outfit so much? Why do you complain about a bad excuse for fanservice? Would you prefer no excuse whatsoever or do you generally hate fanservice like that?
I generally don't like fanservice because it usually feels a little bit cringy to me as well as it's mostly completely unneccessary. I'm not against it either, but don't go on telling me weak excuses to get a female character naked, it's perfectly fine for a male audience to want a scantily-clad female character, just be honest that it's just a character purely for fanservice.
Kojima outright said he did also just wanted her to be sexy. Every unique character usually gets some kind of magic skill. Is it so far fetched he wanted both, and neither is an excuse for the other?
the end also just sat there most of the time. up until his battle he was pushed in a wheelchair. and even during the battle he spent most of his time lying and waiting
It's honestly one of the best games I've ever played. The only reason I've heard anyone not like it is because there was no full on co-op like in Peace Walker, which is a pretty dumb selling point to me. He even bought the game and played the INTRO mission which is probably the most climactic, best, amazing first missions a game could have. So I don't know about him, but as long as you're not as crazy as him then there's no reason you shouldn't get it. Sadly it's not perfect. There was so much more intended for the game, story wise especially, that just couldn't make it in. I assume it's Konami's fault seeing how they treating Kojima recently.
the character customisation is pretty good. the controlls are pretty good if you ask me. the story isnt much like any of the previouse mgs games so if as long as you dont mind that you would probably have fun with it. its not a lot of traditional vent sneaking gameplay but more open world crawling with camo kind of sneaking.
you can also rambo it if that is what you want. i sugest you watch gameplay of the online before making you're decision.
necrova and fuzzyballs already explained the fulton recovery to you, but I ******* hate it when you load some guys in the back of a truck and try to fulton them all, and some of them fall out. It's extremely enjoyable to watch, but I've lost some good soldiers like that.
**** mission 45, **** it so hard, i was chilling out with light equipment and my new leather jacket, then i get suckered in to an inescapable stand off with 20 tanks. Im still stuck on it, having to wait for my battle dress, grenade launcher, and better rocket launcher is infuriating.
It doesn't limit, it lowers your score, Camo lowers it so low that it is impossible go get an S rank, armore lowers it a lot less, about 2000 or something while Camo is 5000.
They should have mentioned the way I explained it, the way it was mentioned is misleading, I wish I knew about it earlier, would made a lot of missions easier.
Well, the only thing i really need to S-rank is just the silenced tranq sniper and the Wu pistol. The rest is just avoiding people with appropriate camo and sprinting wherever i can.
Do you know if already completed side objectives still count towards the point total? I can't even tell if it helps with S-ranking the missions or not.
No, for the secondary goals to give you points you gotta achieve them in that run.
Btw, there's also the "No Trace" bonus, which is huge as **** . But you can only get it when are never spotted, didn't kill anything and you don't use any item or weapon. You can hold up, fulton and CQC, but leaving so much as a bullet shell, you won't get it. I'm not sure about companion commands tho.
But getting that bonus prettymuch guarantees you an S-rank
Damn, luckily i S-rank the mission and then redo it for the side objectives. D-Walker with the Intercept command makes any mission pretty damn easy if you just want to get through it.
Yeah, i've learned that avoiding is the better option when dealing with enemies. Except if i see some of those sweet S or S+ people walking around. Not killing anyone (Total Stealth, i think) is also a pretty huge bonus.
well yeah, total stealth and no kills are prettymuch a given once you get used to it.
and they are all prettymuch included in the No Trace bonus too, which is why i don't understand the ridiculous high bonus it gives, i think its around 200k?
I forgot how the scoring works, since it's been a while, but don't they just give you the No Trace bonus, instead of the other bonusses seperately?
No Traces might just be every bonus stacked together into a single one.
That or it's just because it's pretty hard to get on some missions. Never touching the firing button might get tricky on elimination missions.
I had just got her best gun and was looking forward to her using it, then I did her final side quest and will never have her as a buddy again!!!! Wasted development!
Part 2 of that game was so disappointing.
this game made me want to Fulton extract the cargo boxes that have been next to my apartment for a year now..... there are old fridges in there but still.... i want them gone! and getting money for the contents would be nice.
maybe Big Boss needs the old refrigerator parts. this is all bs fantasy crap in my head! i can get money from it if i want. that is the allure of fantasy.
