I'd rather play this game than it's three successors The Third, 4, and Gat Out of Hell simply because it's got more of a "gangster feel" rather than a mythical and fantasy-esk feel. I feel like this, and Saints Row (The first one.) are what made the Saints Row series, and although the successors are fun, they will never be able to do what this game did.

Also to note this was one of THQ's best publishes, ever.

3 was still somewhat of a gangster game.
4 was fun but not a gangster game at all and Gat out of Hell was basically a reskin of it.

I enjoyed The Third a lot to be honest, but Saints Row 2 is my baby.

I really enjoyed the "friend or foe-esk" feeling in Saints Row: The Third, like whenever you beat a gang, they would kind of merge into yours. It was really really cool, but then Saints Row 4 came along, and that game, honestly, could have been a story DLC rather than a full on game, same with Gat Out of Hell.

The only issue is that Saints Row didn't really make the series what so many people love. It was literally a straight rip of the newest GTA game at the time, with some names changed. Afterwards, Volition did their usual "take it and run" tactics with a successful title, and added in the crazy **** that made Saints Row 2 so much fun.
