I'd love to be able to do that, but I don't have the time to play all the new games I want to play, but i have the money to buy, so I buy the games I want to play and they get added to the massive backlog of games I've been planning to play. I have about 15 games for my ps3 alone to catch up on, that's not counting all the vita, 3ds, steam, and ipad games i have to catch up on. I basically play nothing until i get sick then I play like 5 games in a few days in bed. Last time I was sick I beat the Last of Us, Bioshock Infinite, Gravity Rush, Far Cry 3, and Dragon's Dogma, and Resident Evil Revelations. I don't know if I'll ever have a batch of games that good to play in 5 days (I had pretty serious pneumonia) again.

Oh i know, I have over 220 games on steam, and about 20 of them have over 20 hours of play, about 5 have over 100 hours, and the other 195 have anywhere from 5 minutes to 5 hours.

Not as much as you might think, I'd say thats about 100-150 gigs. With that being old version of steam like early 2009, most of those games are smaller than 5 gigs.

I'm talking about, buying games and dvds for the sole purpose of putting them on a shelf, and never playing or watching them. There are a lot of people, who do this.

true that there are people that do that, some are called 'collectors'. although, they do play all games before displaying them. thats cool to do tho so one day you might get to pass on the joy of playing those games to your kids, nephew/nieces, grandkids etc...

I feel like if you appreciate the movie/game enough, you could just as easily buy a poster and display it in the entertainment room.

I still do that; however, it has gotten harder for me to finish a game ever since I started college. I have a bunch of rpgs that need to be finished at some point in time. =\

Final Fantasy Origins, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, and Chrono Cross.

I've played a bit of each, other than Origins and FF7 which I'm saving for later on (I bought them along with 9 all together). I've loved all of them so far and desire with all my heart to play them again.
