What can I say? I like my metal smooth and shiny. I don't mind them looking a bit cartoony or toylike.

the models are nice but they look kind of see through especially on the cars. try giving them a more matte tone it will make the cars look nicer and the coulours will work better

That "see through" is actually the in-game reflections. The material is just reflecting the map around it.
