Miyamoto hired at EA
Following last month' s announcement that Nintendo game producer Shigeru Miyamoto would leave the
company in July, EA announced earlier this evening at a press conference that they would be working with
Miyamoto to create several new franchises in 2014.
We are very honored to be working with Mr. Miyamoto, who has shown a big interest in our wide
publication of franchises. "
said Larry Proust, temporary CEO of EA, at the press conference.
This turn of event might shine a bit of light on EA, which earlier this year received the award for 'Worst
company in America' on
Miyamoto said in the press release announcing his partnership:
it am happy to work with Electronic Arts, and as with my time with Nintendo, t believe t can apply
many of my daily activities to create new franchises".
Probst announced that Miyamoto would be the Medal of Honor franchise with a new installment
scheduled for release in 2015.
