Hey everybody, you might have realized i've been giving people battlemechs in the comments section! I do this by finding the battlemech with the name most alike to the user's, if you'd like me to do this for you, simply comment and you'll get to discover a battlemech!

sixinthehood (01/10/2016) [-] Hell yeah Mechwarrior! Recently played through pirate's moon, I've loved these games since I was a kid. My strategy, strap as many (L)lasers and double heat sinks onto an Atlas as possible and alpha strike. Mech shuts down for half a second then I'm up and firing again.

battletechmech [OP](01/10/2016) [-] That reminds me of this! Anyways, your battlemech is the "Sirocco" 95 ton quadrapedal assault mech, with 6 ER medium lasers, 1 Medium Pulse Laser, 2 UAC-10s, and 2 Anti-Personnel Pods, the Sirocco makes the AT-AT look like a failed prototype.

Anyways, your battlemech is the "Sagittaire", a 95 ton assault mech with 2 Large Pulse Lasers, 5 medium pulse lasers, a small pulse laser, and an ER PPC, with these powers combined, the sagittaire is a threat at long ranges that can prove to be even more deadly once the gap has been closed.

battletechmech [OP](01/09/2016) [-] I'm not sure what you mean by the mechwarrior controller, when I felt the need I used a normal joystick, but anyways, your battlemech is the "Annihilator", one of the iconic 100 ton assault mechs, with 4 LBX AC10s (giant shotguns) and 4 medium pulse lasers, the Annihilator excels at urban combat, which is good, since its paltry top speed makes it more akin to a turret than an actual battlemech.

Also your mech (based off pizza and not the the) is the "Pitbull" 70 ton MekTek mech featured in the MekTek expansions for MW4: Mercs , this mech technically doesn't exist canonically but is equipped with an LB 20-X, 2 light PPCs, 2 heavy medium lasers, and 2 heavy machine guns, effective at any range, the pitbull is a clan scout through and through.

Anyways your mech is the "Pulverizer" 90 ton assault mech, armed with 1 Enhanced ER PPC, 2 large lasers, and an LRM 10, the Pulverizer excels at long range engagements, but is sorely lacking when the enemy bridges the gap.

Armed with a single PPC, 2 medium lasers, and lrm 5, a machine gun and a flamer, the merlin stood for a technological advancement, being the only new mech design in over 100 years, ushering a new age of mech combat, even if its weapons loadout left something to be desired.

meowmeowman (01/10/2016) [-] I'd recommend putting your screen rez down to minimum before launch, if that doesn't work you may have to get a emulator for an older OS. I had to lower my screen rez for Civ 3 to work.

battletechmech [OP](01/10/2016) [-] Agreed, your mech is the "Cyllaros" quadrapedal mech, a unique mech in that it could transform into a tank, its existence proved confusing and distasteful to the proud warriors of Clan Hell's Horse, the group who created it. At 55 tons and armed with and LRM 15, 2 improved heavy medium lasers, and 2 AP gauss rifles to fight infantry, the Cyllaros featured a two man cockpit that allowed for a more traditional approach for tank piloting.
