Not only is it free DLC, its also single-player only DLC, so there is actually not a single reason to be upset. You can completely ignore it and forget it even exists while you enjoy your game.
No.
Why should we?
They're giving us FREE DLC.
They're the only company that still makes video games instead of "cinematic experiences" and they're the only company that handles DLC right.
But Valve has been questionable on A LOT of other topics..
I still use Steam because games are cheap as **** , but the fact that I don't technically own what I'm buying is ********* .
And Nintendo isn't?
You're acting like Nintendo doesn't just churn out Mario-themed games and keep with a "stay safe" model to ensure their profits are maintained.
Nintendo isn't the only good company out there, and they're sure as hell not flawless.
What you said isn't a ******* problem though. It's just cynical assholes like you that pretend it's a problem. They keep producing fun games, what difference does it make who the character is? They don't have a "stay-safe" model, they listen to fans and produce what they buy. What exactly is it that you want Nintendo to do, exactly? They have THREE new IP's exclusively on Wii U now, you're literally bitching for bitching's sake.
I don't expect Nintendo to do anything. I respect their model. It's a good model to have, it's an effective model to have. But it certainly doesn't earn them "The ONLY COMPANY THAT MAKES REAL GAMES" titles anytime soon.
You're the one that's acting like they're the last good video game company when they keep themselves to targeting family models moreso than they do a larger scope. I'm not the one whose being the cynical asshole, you are.
Now you're just backpeddling and trying to argue semantics for literally no reason at all. How was I being an asshole at all? All I said was Valve was questionable, and then later said that I still supported them and used Steam. YOU felt the need to personally get aggravated for no reason at all.
But you're an anon. You'll probably stop commenting once you realise how ******* retarded you are and you'll never have to feel the shame.
I never got aggrevated, but you sure seem to be.
If you didn't want people to call you out on the hyperbole, don't use the hyperbole. You fill the stereotype of a nintendo fanboy when you do that, like you're doing now by acting like my lack of an account is a matter in the argument.
No, but it's common knowledge that anons are frequent dumbasses on FJ.
Stop projecting, you're honestly trying to use "No u" as an argument.
I shouldn't have to censor my speech to make sure autists like you don't take it seriously, you should just understand common speak.
Most people on FJ are frequent dumbasses. Most people on the internet are frequent dumbasses.
And not for nothing, but you're the one who bitched about me being an anon from the first comment as an argument.
The fact is Nintendo targets family audiences rather than taking on a larger development scope, and fumbles with trying to acquire more desirable exclusives that would bring people into the WiiU bracket. Playstation and Xbox are hardpressed consoles to go against so they have to resort to more conservative models of business. Three new IPs isn't that big of a deal for something that should be as big as the WiiU's gameplay capability.
Anon may be cynical, but he's also right.
Nintendo are a business. And if you think there's any reason why they churn out mario games with the frequency that they do other than to maximise profits, your sadly mistaken.
Also, Nintendo don't deserve props for making DLC that is essentially fancy sponsored advertising free. It would be an insult to the consumer to make them pay for a single kart that quite frankly, has no place in the Mario universe.
Don't get me wrong, I do love Nintendo. I've owned everyone of their console since the SNES but they are far, far from perfect. Take their eshop for example. Where I'm from, NES games literally cost the same (or more in some cases) as PS1 games cost on the PSN which is quite frankly unacceptable.
Well technically you own a license that allows you to play the game. It cannot be taken away. Your account on the other hand, can. This isn't like EA where you get banned for talking bad about their new game. Chances are, if you are banned on Steam it is for a good reason.
