It's pretty much random as to how many thumbs you get. Me? I post so much stuff that it's a statistical impossibility for me to not get on the front page. This post was minor and insignificant to me.

Well goddamn it.

Just find a constantly updated source of funny images and start taking from it. If you post 30 - 40 images in one day you're likely to get at least one of them on the front page.

Funny thing, I feel good about myself doing this. You know why? Because I have a system that works and brings me happiness. To me, that's a pretty good amount of success. My system works well and although I'm not famous on FJ, I like it this way. Pretty much every Funnyjunkie has seen my stuff and doesn't even know it. It's better than reading the location stats on [url deleted] (yes, I write fanfic).

It's funny because this brings you happiness, even though it's not your work making people funny. It's not your stuff, if you didn't make it.

Meh, I get thousands of thumbs everyday, get entertained by the comments and occasionally meet a like-minded person. I like it.

Uh huh. So, these thumbs that don't matter, that do nothing at all, make you feel good about yourself? That's a pretty sad life brother.

To each his own. The fact that something has clearly satisfied thousands of people and they would have never seen it if it weren't for me makes me happy. It's the same reason I do my best to cheer my friends up when they're depressed or in pain. I like making others happy.
