I buy consoles and PC games. Because consoles have no MMOs, RTS, or moba and lack indie games. But PC lacks AAA games and gets some ****** ports.

I really want Nintendo to make a comeback and start getting decent third party developers, but I am skeptical when they keep using these types of gimmicks, that few people want, in place of improved graphics and responsive online play.

The Wii-U version of Black Ops 2 has better visuals and much better online play. Just saying. But I agree, drop the gimmick and this system could have came out 4 years ago, and Nintendo could still compete with Sony and Microsoft.

lol in terms of business, but in terms of consumer quality, nintendo are generation behind, the next xbox will be out in year or so and will dwarf the wii u, it will only get the multiplatform games until then because with the next xbox and playstation the games wont run on wii u unless they went through intense underhauling of optimisation and it wouln't be worth the time and money.

Game developers, particularily indie ones, might be more attracted to how much cheaper it will be developing games on the Wii U. The machines themselves will also cost a lot more, and possibly even the games, when compared to ones for the Wii U.
Also, Nintendo steps up and does something different, whether it be dual screens (DS), motion control (Wii), 3D (3DS) or dual interactive screens, both with HD quality (Wii U). They might be seen as gimmicks to some, but clearly receive mainly positive critique that they enhance the fun of gaming. Microsoft and PS3 are only after added power, which I personally find dull.

It's really weird, like the playstation shape on an xbox controller. (the controller without the screen that is) Instead of having the buttons "up" and the sticks "down" (as with the ps3) or doing it 50/50, it has the sticks "up" and the buttons "down"

depends on your interest int he games, if you think the current roster is enough then yes, otherwise i'd say wait for pikmin 3 and rayman legends
