Wow, something with Morrowind that doesn't involve excessive fangasming.

Well admittedly it's a brilliant game, easily my favourite of the entire series.

BUT IT'S SO DAMN BROWN

i didn't understand it the way that it was sad but rather that it is makes you emotionally instable when you do a 100 floor dungeon and on floor 99 you step on a bomb trap and ******* die...

Lemme tell you a few things about "Buried Relic"
- Don't make friends for the first 60 floors. They will perish on the latter floors. Horrifically.
- Don't bother looking for Mew, he shows up once in only floors 36 to 98. You miss him, he's gone.
- Kill the Regi's quick. The less damage the better.
- If you find revival seeds, put them in your personal item box. Because your dumbass partner will use it if, and when, he dies.
- Of all the dungeons you come across in the entire game, save your huge apples. Hunger is a bigger rival than you can fathom.
- Watch the **** out for huge empty rooms. Chances are they're chalk full of traps or will become a monster house.
- Speaking of traps, the grimer, goo, spike fall, and spinner traps are the banes of existence's existence.
- Also speaking of monster houses. Run. Don't stop. Just run. You will get massacre'd. Or in the least, move into the hallway to limit enemies to one on one instead of one on ************** seven.
- Don't try to use the music box. Chances of finding mew are mindblowingly slim even with it. And you can only use it once. #YOUIO.
- This dungeon is not for the impatient. You can come across what i call "floor of a thousand rooms" many many MANY times. They've only got 14 rooms, but it's trial and error to find the goddamn staircase every single time.

> It gets very very boring after the 45th floor. You have 55 floors of the same crap to deal with.
> Bring a dick load of keys. 4 HM's inhabit the floors; 45, 60, 70, and 80.
> Carry light. You can find things you can't afford to lose.
> Eat every gummi you encounter. The smarter you are, the easier.

Have you played the Walking Dead interactive story?

The ending to that game is kind of what happens in the Mystery Dungeon games.

It gets worse when the credits roll and you're just left there after witnessing what happened to the character you played as and how sad everyone else was when you left. It's definitely not as sad as the Walking Dead's ending, but it fools you into thinking that it'd end with your partner being left there alone without you being there.

There's not really much way I can explain it without completely ruining the plot, but it's without a doubt the most mature and emotional story of any Pokemon game.

Still, it is nearly impossible to convey all the FEELS from the game in mere words.

It's like... It's like I'll say "This guy dies" and you'll say "...So...?"

But if you've lived with that guy, ate with him, shared a room with him, fought with him, grew with him and so on, his death would tear you apart.

So basicaly, the plot is sad because it can succesfully connect you, the player, to the characters on the emotional level. And their sadness = your sadness.

Have you seen Clannad? Angel Beats? Anything remotely "Feely"? Same thing, only in a game. a POKEMON game, nonetheless!

You play as a pokemon which came from the future to change the present. Because the past was changed you end up having never existed. The sad part when you disappear.

Wrong game, even though the content applies on both PMD's
PMD1 has two very feely moments. 1.: People blame you for the apokalypse, you need flee from everyone 2.: After stopping the apokalypse you leave the pokemon-world

Spoiler alert: I played the Fire version of Mystery Dungeon, there may be some plot differences, but if I recall, Dialga was corrupted by something (Darkrai maybe? Been about 4 years since I played) and this threw the timeline off balance. You fight Dialga and he is restored, allowing him to stabilize the timeline again. You dissapear, and later on Dialga resurrects you.

Beware, this text is spoiled.

Nah *****, the only differences between the Red Team and Blue team versions were which Pokemon were in it and the consoles they were on. Also, the plot you just described was for the sequels, Explorers of Darkness and Time. In the first game, you're stopping a star from crashing into the world and upon finishing that your character turns into a energy ball and floats off into the sky, while your partner bawls their eyes out. Then, your character decides to say "**** you God, I ain't having that ****." and goes back to the Pokemon world.
