suppression (05/31/2014) [-] I've actually played it on PS3. I enjoy it, a lot. It's got some great moments, such as the car chases, gun fights. It has a **** load of side missions to keep you busy. Graphics are nice. Story keeps you going. It's got some amazing moments like pedestrians calling police on you, prompting you to cause a city-wide black out.
All in all, if you like being almost like God, with a city at your will, this is a great game.
I love Watch Dogs, and will likely be playing it for a long time.

Gonna give the PC-rundown:
+ Fun concept
+ Wide range of diverse activities
+ Lots of unlockables n ****
+ Good mechanics
+ Fun minigames
+ Good graphics (albeit not even close to the E3 reveals)
+ Great availability to guns, vehicles etc.
+ Hide-and-seek multiplayer
- Poorly optimized (Though the difference between Medium and Ultra graphics is hardly noticable)
- Mouse control is clunky
- Driving is abysmal
- Little to no Uplay connectivity
- Cliche plot
- No personality on protagonist
- Numerous plotholes
- Some glitches and bugs
- Protagonist wears a ******* ballcap to his trench coat, and all outfits have that
- You need another pre-order DLC to read the rest of this review
- No mission replays, if you wanna replay sidemissions you'll have to restart the entire game. Crime scene interfering is infinite, though very boring.
It's a 7/10 for me. It's a fun game to play, but due to lack of replayability and a story without depth it's not a game I can endulge myself into more than once. If I should take Uplay into account it's a ?/10, because my friends and I all had to install a crack to play it, despite buying it on Steam = I wouldn't even have played the game yet. Uplay is still down by the way.

He's not supposed to be easy to read. The one psychiatrist in the game goes over this, he masks his character so well, not even the best people out there can read him. It's the reason him and Damien got together. Damien did the computer work, Aiden did the foot work. No one suspected him of doing anything because he could fit in. He starts to change though, near the end. Go do the memory things as well, he shows some there. And when Clara dies.

Just because it's supposed to be like that doesn't mean I like it. He could've been difficult to read for all I care, but he has even less personality than Agent 47. And with that trench coat + ballcap combo, you'd likely think he was the front figure of autism if you'd seen him on the streets.

tatsumaki (05/30/2014) [-] Gameplay for me is a solid 9/10, it's a really fun game with varied missions so it doesn't get boring easily, the world is big enough to explore but not so big that parts are just left barren. However there are a few visual glitches, such as characters randomly disappearing etc. Although it's very easy to over look these visual glitches because, for me anyway, the story is very compelling, the characters are unique and overall it's a very emersing game. This may not have been the most detailed review, or the easiest to read but it's just my basic opinion of the game; I would recommend you get it.

People keep telling me that Aiden is a total shell, but, considering his interactions with Clara, Jackson, and Nicky, the complete opposite is true. I don't get why they complain so hard about character depth and then rave about how great everyone in GTA V was.

its a fun game.the hacking is too simple since it gives you a mark on when to hack things in opportune moments,police chases are rare unless you have maxed out fear(in wich you get chaced by cops all the time) and when you are chaced by the police helicopters will be a pain(they will continue sniping you forever and its hard to actually hack a helicopter)
outside of that, driving is a tad weird,stealth system is fun and overall its a fun game.,
people have been however complaining that it has a lot of bugs and **** and there is a lot of videos out there claiming the game as broken piece of **** .but i haventh seen anything of the sort.except uplay is down.

fuzzybubble (05/30/2014) [-] Tbh, the multiplayer is alright. the mobile challenge thing is pretty cool but hacking someone is pretty hard. also, sometime the wait to participate in an online activity is really long, plus while you're queued up for something you literally can't do anything else but wait. Also, i have never been invaded ad started being hacked after pretty much 3 days of constant play so do what you're gonna do

Here is my review being about only 3+ hours into it
Overall 8.2/10
Pros
- sweet ass graphics with great detail. Seriously you walk into a nice ass house and there are dirty dishes with spaghetti and **** on it.
- Driving feels great, sound and feels of each car are completely different.
- Amazing amount of gameplay, literally games inside of games.
- skill point system of a bunch of different skills.
- story so far seems deep and interesting.
- combat system is ****** sweet. You hit a guy with your takedown stick, you can almost feel his bones being broken, plus shooting is pretty awesome too, kinda similar to GTA IV shooting, but a little more "in your face"
- Hack literally everything and anyone, pretty hilarious conversations and info about people. There was a guy who you can distract by texting him about yiffing (furries).
- Each person is individualized with different characteristics which is pretty cool.
Cons
- hacking everything is a lot of repetition of pressing Square over and over again. Seriously. Square.
- side missions are really cool at first, but it seems like the ones ive gotten so far is maybe about 3-4 of the same scenarios
- I like a challenge, but GOT DAMN the cops in this game are real as **** . You got to be jesus himself to get rid of the cops sometimes. There is a heat level up to 5 and ive only gotten to 3 and it pisses me off how hard it is to shake em.
- they tried to make it all "hack like" for some cut scenes and would blur them out occasionally. However, kinda hard on the brain/eyes as the ***** always static like sometimes.
Overall the game I believe to be a must play, pretty cool to have in your collection.
Replay value seems meh so far but idk yet. Only dipped into online stuff and it seems pretty cool, hacking other real players is a challenge, but fun.

lorddarkskull (05/30/2014) [-] Glitches out the ass, plays like a watered down combo between AC and GTA, ubisoft outright lied about the graphics at last year's e3 (said it was 1080p, constant 60fps, it's 720p, 30 fps with frequent drops). All of this after a 6 month delay to polish it.

gadgetzan ONLINE (05/30/2014) [-] As far as i can tell, the game is brilliant, love the gameplay and story. BUT, this game is riddled with technical faults that just really bring down the experience of playing it. I can barely get 30 FPS out of this damn game with only FXAA and I have a fairly good rig. Playing a lagging, frameskipping, pixellated game just isn't as fun. If Ubisoft would have just learnt how to optimize their games this game would be a easy 9/10 for me, but right now I'd place it at like 6/10 because I just can't enjoy playing it as much.

McFuckUp (05/31/2014) [-] I love it. There's something extremely satisfying about hacking a stoplight and causing a massive pileup just for the **** of it. The shooting is fun too. It doesn't have an auto lock like GTA, but it's not hard to aim. Hacking during fights is pretty sweet. Story is good so far.

I would wait a little bit longer until some more reviews come out like angry joes and then cross compare it with other reviews and then see if you still want it. I don't think ima get it simply because I don't think i'll get my moneys worth, at least not yet.
Others say it has interesting game mechanics and whatnot, so I don't know if it's worth getting or not, but I'll think of your advice. Thank you

cozer (05/30/2014) [-] I've been here a while and don't worry about it, funnyjunk is a *********** so don't feel bad or worrysome about asking a question anywhere, someone will probably answer it and yeah, the hacking is simplistic, sure it adds some cool **** to the game, but it is too easy. Their is some cool **** in watch dogs like spider tank though, if you're on pc then go watch totalbiscuits review on it. He covers the game as well as the pc port of it and how well done that is. It is 50 minutes though so be warned, he's pretty thorough with his reviews/WTF IS' videos.

Hacking/Intrusion, whatever it's called - You go into another player's game and you have to get near and hack them and you have to remain hidden till the bar hits 100%, if they find you then you have to run for dear sweet life. There's also a reverse version of this where player's randomly join your game and start hacking you so you have to find them and kill them before it hits 100%
Online racing - Haven't done that yet.
Tailing - Have to follow someone and watch their movements without being detected and reach 100% completion on it. And if they find you they kill you.
Decryption - You can have as many up to 12 players I think it is and you all fight for the code, you can steal it by being near the player with the file or killing them for it and you have to be in possession of the file when it hits 100% to win.
There is one more I think but I haven't looked at it yet, hope this helps.
