for sure you can. mine was a little over 500, but i built it by buying the parts separately which usually ends up in a lower price. i upgraded it a few times also. but if you have a 5k budget for this, youll definatley be able to do it. message me if you want more help
User avatar #15 - breaken (04/27/2013) [-]

I dunno prices in America, but in The Netherlands you can buy a sickass pc with 32GB RAM, an I7 3970X, 2x Radeon HD7990 for about €5.000

get a decent mid-highrange computer, ensure it has a spacious case than buy upgrades when required for improve as you go gorgeouosness. It is not the most effecient way but it ensures that you always have something to play on if the top end parts, or money for them is hard to find (also you have parts you know work incase you **** it up)

build one.

that's as much as I can be bothered to say

pretty much any gaming comp that isn't an alienware. its cheapest if you just build it yourself, that way you can always upgrade it without worrying about voiding any warranties

Its very possible, one can be built for $1500 easy.

The key is, you don't want to use the latest and greatest, as most are not used to their potential yet. You don't need 8 cores, but a 4 core hyperthreaded will give you more than enough power...

actually PM me and I can build you one.
