Gamestop only gets profit from trade-ins and pre-owns. They get no money from Brand new games. Not defending them, just droppin' some knowledge on ya.

Yeah, but in return, the people who made those games get no money from used titles and hardware.

We get $10 out of every $60 in new sales and everything from preowned. Fuck that company.

You dont get "everything" you tard. You pay the customer for their game. a new game can be sold to Gamestop for $40 at times and they will put it back on the shelf for 50+... its a fucking company that needs to make money.

Have you worked there?

Then don't sell back to them. If you don't like how they run their business, you don't have to support it.

They do get money from them, it's just a very slight amount.

It's about half of the price. It's the devs who don't get much for it. Thats the reason some are pushing digital distribution. But most do it completely wrong and charge the same price, even though they are getting almost double the money.

Origin is a prime example of how now to do it. Steam is a great platform, but it's still flawed.

Nintendo is probably the worst way to do it. They are pricing games at full retail prices, and they have stated they won't be doing sales or ever lowering prices because it "cheapens the IPs". Fucking nintendo. I love their games, but i hate every business decision they make.
