Sorry I was speed replying, didn't mean to be antagonistic in my last comment. And well, that's pretty much what I've always done. I bought a n64 just for super mario 64 and starfox back in the day

Options:
1. There are a ******** of free to play games out there in really good quality. You could play that.
2. You could just go to a store and buy the games in cd package.
3. You save a lot of money by using steam because of their summer sales and weekend deals which is pretty damn neat. Compared to xbox and PS3, you save much more money.
4. There's also the option to pirate it, but then you wouldn't support the developers.

I really don't see any reason to hate on steam, they also give great support when things don't work. You can also easily gift people games.

4. Only reason I play anything made by valve is because I pirate. Sad thing is the pirated versions usually run better and crash less than they do on steam.

5. Bs their tech support is non-existant. It consist of "okay does it work now? Oh well then it must be your 3k top of the line system. Oh you already called them and they told you to call us? Well call them again anyway"

Just because steam doesn't have all games, it also has games that other companies don't. Like I said, you could just go and buy the games from a store. I was talking about free games and you start talking about buying. All of my wat.
Too bad that your computer sucks I guess. Never experienced a crash with my steam and if it does crash then you can easily ask steam support like I said. Sure, they might have a ****** job, but it helps people who suck at computers. It can take very long for you to pirate a game rather than just download the game from steam. There are tons of viruses and unfixed versions that are pirated and they are not all kept up to date.

... I don't wanna sound like a dick but why not? It's free and there are multiple games that are not only free but can run on pretty bad computers. My laptop blows but I play TF2 all the time on the lowest settings
