Nintendo turned down Binding of Isaac on DS because it was too adult.

I wasn't aware of that, that's kind of sad. Binding of Issac would have been amazing on the Wii U. Using the bottom screen as the map and equipment and all that. or just having the game on the Wii U's controller like most of their games.

A shame, but at least Issac is still on the computer!

yeah they need more adult themed games...

most of the nintendo games where i am from are either mario, zelda or some nameless japanese anime.

outside of that i saw remake of mgs3 and resident evil game that were the only adult themed games on sale...

Definitely, I mean... I'm okay with their games staying child-like. I can't imagine blood spewing out when Mario jumps on a Goompa. But there are definitely some games Miyamoto could make similar to Zelda with a more adult theme.

Or make a game about you being a Pokemon surviving in the wild. Or... I dunno.

It'd be pretty neat to play a big RPG on the Wii U. The gamepad is a good equipment screen.

I know, I know. I just meant that their games in particular could remain child like while they introduce more adult-like ones.

No doubt they can, it's Nintendo after all.

Nintendo's always been a little weird when it comes to acknowledging the hardcores.
I mean, tripping in Brawl? It couldn't have been an oversight.

I still enjoy the **** out of Brawl, tho.
And the HD Nintendo polish on the Wii U is pretty awesome, too.

For the 'Tripping in Brawl' thing, I heard it was actually Miyamoto's annoyance with the tournament players, so he put it in to mess them up. I have no idea if that's true, but it definitely wasn't an over sight.

I love my Wii U and my 3DS. Nintendo has always been my favorite gaming company, and always will be. Sure, they milk franchises, but they still remain fun because Nintendo usually knows what to change, what to keep, and what to improve.

They milk franchises because people enjoy them, but they have experimentet alot of times. The Wii and the Wii U were both original concepts, and when it comes to games we have Luigi's Mansion, Mario Sunshine and Galaxy. Completely derailed from the norm and people still loved them.

They always seem to be first out with something.
But if there's one thing I don't like it's the New Super Mario Bros. franchise. It's truly the same game over and over. I guess it's shameless moneymaking, like Disney does with their hundreds and thousands of Disney Channel sitcoms.

Mario party 10 was the 3ds one, not a numbered one though, I just call it 10, Its stupid cause it just like 9, takes EVERYTHING mario party was about(expansive boards, coins and stars and items to steal, Pissing off your friends, Minigames EVERY TURN, Fun board events and so on) and isntead Streamlines it to a bunch of crap with 1 currency, and no cool things and SUPER linear boards(Even mario party 8 had 2 linear boards, but you did loop them and the board mechanics where good enough to keep me playing and liking it)

And strangely, I have played lots of rpgs, and you know what two serries are my favorite rpg serries of all time? Paper mario( even super paper, but NOT sticker star) and the Mario and Luigi Rpgs(Yes even Partners in time) And I like those games over great rpgs like ff6,ff9,Any fire emblem(I count it as a rpg) Fallout 2(Again Rpg), Persona 3 and 4, Cause they both have two good things, There fun to play, and fun to watch, Simple as that(It also helps that the Combat is fun as well, both serries making so your not sitting on your ass for your enemy to make his move, and rewards you for paying attettion) Thats my 2 cents about rpgs. And for anyone that disagrees that I have any merit, Has not played these games at all, Use a emulator for the first games in the series(Paper mario 1, and Super star saga for GBA) Go and experience great games!

Side note. Sticker Star ruined everything that was good about the series really. I bought it without researching it, thinking nintendo could not let me down with a paper mario. But they did, and big time. I might be done with that series altogether now because of it.

And?
GTA 5 sold more than that in pre-orders.
Most popular games have those numbers on launch, especially if they're the only worthwhile game on the system in months.

Well yes but that's only one nintendo game, and it's not factoring in the amount of WII Us sold since then as a result of its release.

And GTA 5 is only one non-Nintendo game.
Sure, call out Nintendo badmouthing, but don't act like a single game has now made the U into the "winner" of the current consoles.

For some reason, you are arguing a point that no one is making. No one said the Wii U is "winning" anything, just that it isn't failing. You seem to be trying to make the point that the Wii U (and Nintendo) must be failing, because GTA V sold well. The success or failure of Nintendo is in no way, shape or form connected to the sales numbers of GTA V. You should stop hating and ridiculing Nintendo for literally no reason and actually pay attention to what discussion you are having before embarrassing yourself.

No... I'm sorry you're a slobbering retard who can't understand basic logic, legion said "Mario Kart sold 1.2 mil" as if it mattered, so I said why that's normal operating procedure for any console and doesn't mean anything.

I even said "call out Nintendo badmouthing" in my comment, I don't know who dropped you on your head as a child, but you clearly have no idea what you are talking about.

I'm not.
All I'm saying is, that while countless other companies are making quiet a pretty penny selling their games to other consoles, nintendo is selling consoles, and a handful of other bester sellers to their buyers which helps them out exponentially.

I am glad that Nintendo continues to be more kid friendly rather than adult based with their games.

I believe that the company is meant to remain a childhood brand that you can always go back to and think, "Wow, this Zelda game is still fun and even my kid can enjoy it."
