I hate it because it hasn't had an ounce of true innovation ever since CoD 4. They re-used the engine from MW2 for MW3. Multiplayer is now a chore than addicting, even when it was addicting it still felt like a grindquest for a new level.
Online players are truly breathtaking idiots.
The whole mechanic of multiplayer is who started shooting first in most scenarios. Or who has the gun that can't be used in range. Or who is a immense faggot with knives.
It doesn't even satisfy in the arcade department. I've had a much better experience with TF2 now.
This is coming from a once Call of Duty fan who would play the game every chance he could.
Zombies wasn't even that great.

Yeah... this isn't very good OC
and BTW, the reason that people don't like call of duty is the level that many of the people who play online stoop too, not only in the fact that they are usually very young and bad but also the vulgarity of their language...
