Evolve is a pretty bad game
it's like Killing Floor, doing the same thing over and over and over gets old, fast

the key here is variety, in both scenery and equipment
some games, like Fallout 4 suck at this
other games like Fallout NV are good at this

you need to keep the game fresh while you feel as if you're progressing
Killing Floor just puts you in the same handful of maps with the same handful of weapons, and after doing every map once, I was done
like Vermintide, I like Warhammer, but I don't like playing through the same missions after finishing them all

evolve had fun gameplay and the variety of a blank piece of paper. gameplay alone doesn't make a game good.
