I totally agree! I was so mad when Borderlands 2 was released last September, and not 9 months later!
And don't even mention the price! $60? It should have totally been $120!
Man, the stuff companies do to rip off us customers and not include "dlc" in the original package.

Then the release date for borderlands2 would have been pushed back by months.
Plus the campaign already takes like, 30 hours to beat, and it has amazing replay value.

Some developers use dlc as a way to squeeze money out of customers while other developers like gearbox and rockstar use dlc as a way to keep players interested after they've finished the campaign. Also, **** EA. I may sound like I'm on the bandwagon here, but those asswipes have actually ********** me out of time and money.

people dont hate dlc, people hate bad dlc. without dlc, u get the game and thats it, no add-ons(unless u play pc). with dlc, u get the choice to add content to a game and it keeps people playing the game even if it is over a year old. of course, there are those dlc out there that should of been put in the game but the company decided that they want more money and just dont care anymore.

i hate ALL DLC. all DLC is bad DLC

they shouldn't charge you extra it should be included with the original purchase

Call it an update, make it free, then ill be happy.

A few years back we called large content DLC "Expansion packs" and didn't complain about buying those. The only bad DLC is content that's already on the disk that needs to be bought to be unlocked. Even cosmetic DLC has a place in the gaming world.

Well.. some of them like "extra campaigns" aren't all bad.
Like.. what's the difference between that and an expansion?
Little new map packs, armor/weapons packs, yeah that stuff is ****** . But expansions to the story aren't so bad.

What about content made by popular demand? Let's say that game X had a good campaign, but people wanted to see what the story of character Y was, so using the infrastructure of the game, they create another campaign that was never planned to be part of the game?
I agree that the DLC that should be part of the game getting paid for is ******** , but not all DLC is bad.

How about instead of DLC just call it an update and make it free...
User avatar #17 to #16 - lolwatthe (07/03/2013) [-]
Also, some ideas come to devs only after they don't have enough time to complete them so instead of dropping it they make it DLC.
