You should've included how the Xbox got it's name since not too many people seem to know from what I've noticed. Microsoft built the console to demonstrate the Direct-X capabilities in gaming and had originally called it the DirectXbox but was later shortened to Xbox.

Oh, i just thought that was kind of common knowledge, it appears a lot of people have told me that i should've stated that...but that also means a lot of people already knew that

You're good, just a suggestion of mine. I forgot to look through the comments first, didn't notice others had already said it. Good comp though!

It isnt much bigger than the old X360.

A just took the pic for the comparison of the slim version of PS1, X360 Slim, X360 fat and Xbox 1

You never saw the first version of the original Xbox?
That thing was a giant.
The father of one of my friends got one of the first Xbox and it was gigantic.
Roughly the size of an AV 5.1 amplifier.

Check out Destiny if you haven't already. Made by Bungie. Playing it really gives me Halo 3 vibes despite it having a lot of differences in playstyle and controls. It's just the fun and type of movement I guess. Enemies could be compared as well. I've played the beta and I have to say well worth the money. I have a lot of fun with the PvP and the maps are great

Yeah a lot of people make that comparison but it carries its weight as its own game. I haven't had fun like when I play destiny since I played Halo 3, which was my first Halo and legit FPS game

I haven't heard anything about that. It is on all consoles. 360, Xbox One, PS3, and PS4. It might eventually come to PC too I suppose

Sucks that Halo 5 is xbox One exclusive. I understand why but I would have loved to be able to play it on my 360. I almost definitely won't be able to get an xbox one, at least not anywhere around when Halo 5 comes out and I really want to continue Chief's journey

I have many fond memories of my Xbox, but not really from many exclusives. Dreamfall, KOTOR, Conker and Jade Empire expanded my dong to infintity and beyond though.

Aw man Jade Empire was ******* awesome.
It was the first RPG I actually got into. I played Final Fantasy games before, but I just didn't feel as into them as I did with Jade Empire.
I still have the disc. I wonder if my 360 can run the game.

HEY OP

I always really like the Xbox controllers (smaller ones) and Xbox 360 controllers. They really just fit the human hand in a way that Playstation controllers don't. I've always been curious though why the joysticks aren't parallel. I don't mind it, I just don't get the reasoning. Anyone know?

Well, of course you can get different layouts for your controller, but I think Microsoft wanted to say: "We didnt do it better, we did it different"
I like the xbox controller(layout) better because I feel that PS was too cramped.
Still PS2 will always have a special place in my heart. First console the family ever owned in my childhood

also one of the easiest consoles to soft-mod, allowing for endless gaming possibilities. Playing Road Rash 64 with an xbox controller, however, is a bit challenging to get used to..

I had one. Only had 3 games for it, Doom, Cybermorph and AvP. Might have been a competitor if it wasn't so poorly designed. Stupid Atari, thinking jury rigging processors together to be 64 bit was a good idea.

Just like to add, my dad is a Naval Officer and he used to have to go out to sea in Aircraft Carriers. Nearly every single one he went on, some guys wired their xbox's together from throughout the ship, taping the wires to the walls to make them look "official". As an internet connection is hard to get in the middle of the atlantic, they all ended up using System link.
