"But I love you." -UPDATE-
Hey, everybody, some of you may have seen a post my boyfriend made about a game I'm working on. (Here's a link to that: /channel/videogames/But+i+love+you/ijnTLvw/) And some of you seemed pretty interested! Or, at least, curious. So I'm here to keep you all updated with some cool stuff to show and some exciting news.
Something a few people seemed concerned about was the actual writing--so, up above, you'll see an excerpt from the script. There's also some concept art, and a cg preview.
But to those of you who were excited about it, guess what? We're funded; and I saw that quite a few backers came from the link on the previous post so a BIG thanks to you! Now we're just hacking away at stretch goals on the Kickstarter (which you can find here: www.kickstarter.com/projects/1499485815/but-i-love-you-a-horrific-take-on-dating-sims) and we're already at $15,000+! And on top of that, we're Greenlit on Steam! All that's left for me to do is fill out paperwork, negotiate terms, and blah blah blah...
Now, for anybody who's reading about this game for the first time, we'd love to bring you on as additional support! This doesn't mean you have to pledge or anything, just help us get the word out! Since we're already funded, our main goal now is to get everybody hyped for a great game! You can even keep up to date with it on the Steam page here: steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=343370892
For anybody who's already familiar with the game, keep showing support like you have been! We loved all the feedback we got on the last post, and would love even more to keep hearing from you guys. We want to make this game the absolute best it can be, and your input makes it possible. Thanks again!
The player has just woken up; it' s his/ her first morning in Jeres-
berg' s local bed and breakfast. A muffled piano can be heard play-
ing from downstairs.
P Internal: Outright. My car broke down last night and new I' m
here. Is that... a piano?
The player heads down; as suspected, the hostess is the derpetta-
tor. She has her back to him/ her, smiling and completely absorbed
in the music until the player speaks.
P Choices:
I) "Kind, pretty, and talented? You' re a triple threat!" (Emma
2) "I could hear you all the way from in my room."
3) "Wow. You look so happy when you play." (Emma "Rom/ Res")
Emma Responses:
I): "(embarrassed laugh) I' m so sorry, I didn' t mean to wake
you. But thank you!”
2): "Oh, I' m sorry, did I wake you? I' ll try not to be so loud next
time.
Elf 3) "(smiles) It' s definitely something I love. Good morning, by
the way! I hope my music wasn' t too loud."
