There's nothing inherently wrong with Fire Emblem characters. The problem lies in the fact that it's far from the most popular Nintendo series yet it's now tied with Pokemon for second highest amount of characters in Smash. It's the most popular it's ever been right now, but still not popular enough to warrant that much representation in a Nintendo all stars game.

It also doesn't help that FE character resemble anime characters. One thing that adds to Smash's charm is having loads of characters with widely varying designs, so it's kind of boring to see so many characters with not all that much variation in their appearance.

she was but they changed her to be different as the characters themselves aren't the same and lucina, dark pit and dr mario are just alternatives for the main ones. besides there aren't any other characters from fe that would be able to be characters do to them doing all the mains of note, though I'm happy there aren't any new Mario characters b/c there's 11 as is and Mario characters can be just as bad as sonic characters if your around them a lot though by default sonic characters are annoying almost instantly but most side characters in sonic as of late haven't done much

i was more saying what i think most people would feel since im sorta bias to like teh sonic characters as i use to be a sonic fan but then the toxicness of oc and cring drove me out. for me i dont mind teh characters all that much but i can see how people would dislike them or find them annoying easily

he sorta is after adventure 2, though in heroes he didn't get much time to develop the edge. young fans also treat him like a edge lord and the cool alternate to sonic. in adventure 2 though he is more a dark past servant as he doesn't really develop outside off the context of the story

Sonic Heroes aside, he's played completely different from Sonic in his game play appearences. At most he'd be a semi-clone and that's not necessarily bad thing.

yeah pretty much just damage and frame adjustments but still a characters a character and little to no time was need to change her so she didn't take another characters "slot" away, shes just a extra for those who like her remember a few years ago the sonic games were so broken no one could play them, the resent ones are more mario type of difficulty where its hard near the end but eases you in to it. i wouldn't say there easy that 3 year olds could do it and sonic boom is broken so that's the only sonic game as of late that's true **** but that's not what i was talking about so back to teh point. the new games have lessened the amount of characters and left it to the mains of sonic and tails feat. knuckles from sonic 3 and knuckles

i gifted a friend sonic dx on steam some months ago just to anoy him, he really dislikes sonic, than we got drunk with 4 other friends and forced each other to play this piece of **** , we bugged out of walls so often within 15 minutes, we couldn´t stop laughing
i choosed rob cause i rememberd that he was the last character to be playable and didnt had so many levels

i bought colours and sonic boom some months ago, cause there was a action with "buy 3 games for 50 €" 2 times, i bought some games i liked and filled the last spot with sonic, damn was i disapointed, even tho i didn´t had any expectations

but hey, money well spend when you buy 2 games worth 45€ for 50 under the condition of buying sanic

i do have smash 4.
when i was younger i played dx and 2 battle to death b/c i enjoyed them a lot. i always loved finding glitches in those games and really were the only games i could find glitches in a semi easy fashion as other games weren't really broken enough to glitch them out and i don't remember being able to get new games all that much, do to that Ive learned to live with what games i have even if I'm bored of them. though i know now that they aren't great games, to me entertainment is entertainment

i also played them when i was younger, enjoyed them aswell, but damn, we coulnt progress in dx cause of bugs, there was this looping ramp you had to take, didn´t had a hitbox, just walked through it and landed in water

for me i never experienced any bugs that made progressing impossible, though that probably just b/c i would restart the level if that did happen and the bug wasn't a reoccurring one. i also tended to make restart the game a lot from the beginning even if i didn't beat it though i did beat dx i would just mess around in the worlds making a story up similar to how one plays with toys to make a story. i never did get the final episode of 2 battle as sonics final stage i couldn't beat.

It's stupid that they use another fire emblem character, but i'm super hype for corrin anyway, just because i wanna see how he plays, performs etc, i mean, he's got so many different things going for him in the trailer already, same with bayonetta

The new game does look ******* awesome, but Fire Emblem has enough badass units, yet they seem to chose the "lord - sword wielder" every single time, except for with Robin, and even he/she got a damn Levin Sword.

And let's be ******* real here - having Lucina and Marth both in and them having the EXACT same moveset, with Marth doing a bit more damage on the tip, hardly counts as a "new and cool Fire Emblem character for Smash!"

I like the characters there are, played a ******* of Marth myself, but they could pick something more interesting for the next one...

That whole Lucina/Marth thing is why I always call (and will not stop) Lucina "Second Marth". At most, she should've just been an alt skin for Marth, nothing more. Robin they actually have a different mechanic, and Corrin seems the same way. And while I agree there are a lot of Fire Emblem characters, it's a huge hit in Japan, which is why there are more characters than games like LoZ, or Metroid.

I absolutely love the Fire Emblem series, I am not complaining about them having many characters in there. All i'm saying is "Why must every single fire emblem character in the game wield a sword"? On top of my head, wouldn't Hector be a good example? He's also a main character, and the game has the same popularity as (and is a prequel of) Fuuin no Tsurugi, the game Roy is from.

Hector's a ******* tank, they wouldn't put him in because he would definitely be overpowered as **** , but it would be nice to get an ax or spear user in there

I was just using him as an example (although smash has its fair share of tanky, heavy hitting guys), but you at least understand what im trying to say here? One of the many mages in the game maybe? (dont say a mage cant have normal hits, just look at Zelda, she's no fighter in LoZ and in Smash she has punches like the rest)
