i approve your choice of reaction images 3 tries? the first time i met him i barely survived his first attack, caught me completly offguard, just like the menu bones
Well in the first attempt, I got with 25 hp on the first attack
Then healed
Learned quick the attacks
Keep attacking
But surviving his last attack with only 60 hp and still getting hit was horrible
But funny at the same time
I didn't finish genocide, I still fight him for the fun out of it
And he calls me a sick person everytime I meet him
once i got the hang of it the only attack i died to 5 times in a row on the last pixel was his final attack, i was too stupid to dodge the gasterblaster circle at the end
other attack i had problems with was the 2. attack with blue and white bone, i am ashamed of that, lost 20 hp every time
I just stood still during that section. Right after the flames left the screen I wondered if they would actually be damaging, which I see as a pretty reasonable assumption since reds been screwing with the fight box for a while already. Thanks for letting me know that that's actually what happens.
After beating her 3 times, flowey keeps count of the score. It should be easy for you to try and get a higher score than her, why not try it out to see what he says?
Yeah, I did a true reset to reset the score and got 7 - 0 against her. Flowey stops coming back after killing her the 7th/8th time, saying that he wants to play with you instead of watching you play, and that he's going to go do something else.
undertale has been around long enough that the general consensus is starting to agree it must be cancer. thus we have our thump farmers testing the waters to see if its safe enough yet for them to start harvesting the green pinkies by dissing undertale.
Well, I tried both at first, and with some more unique characters it seemed that simply killing them I would miss a lot interesting dialogue. Not to mention at first combat takes more time...
I got out of cave and quit soon after that, but till then I tried to kill and talk (restarted game) and I noticed simply attacking tends to yield no dialogue. Just boring ass fighting.
you should just reset and don´t kill, killing anything just makes the game a living hell, you don´t feel so well, it gets boring after a couple of hours and the game takes about 7 hours to complete.
I dont understand what kind of retard would bitch about the game being boring when you kill everyone but then think but if i dont kill everyone it will be too hard. too hard? which is it? do you want excitement and adversity or do you want the game to suck your dick for 80% of the run?
I have trouble dodging certain enemies. But I didn't play that long so I didn't meet many of them.
Overall, I wasn't sure whether I should go mass murderer or pacifist path. Are you saying pacifist is better? That answer alone should be enough for me to try it again.
Murderer path is an unfun grind where everything except two HUGE difficulty spikes die in 1-3 hits. I would not recommend you to go that path, especially if you are already having some trouble with dodging attacks. Pacifist has fun dialogue and can be somewhat difficult at times. If you die very often you can get a certain armour that has a lot of defense and heals you for 1 point a turn and gives you longer invisibility. If you dont die, getting that armor practically costs 10999 gold, but it gets cheaper when you die until you can get it for practically 1750 gold. Google temmie village once you get to Waterfall if you feel like you need it.
Another thing, keep the stick in your inventory and use it on enemies. Hilarity ensues sometimes.
Also, pet Lesser Dog for a while.
Look, send me a pm with your steam name and I'll guide you with troublesome enemies, afterall I can't play the game anymore. 3 true resets are enough for me.
Okay, that tears it. Can anybody explain what makes Undertale so great? I haven't seen this much game-related content about a single game since the Katawa Shoujo epidemic I've played the game a little, but didn't find it to be anything special. Is the plot really good or is it the characters? It can't be so popular based on this semi-interesting semi-original combat mechanic alone. Maybe it didn't appeal to me because I don't like Pokemon and it's got that Pokemon vibe
For the most part its draw point is the overall story and characters. Don't get me wrong I love the game mechanics but imho the fanbase cares more about the plot. Beyond just the story there are also allot of little tender moments that make people who can feel emotions go "Ahh, my heart! Mmmuu, da feels!". My personal favorite being the rocks and the umbrella. Also, if you thoroughly explore the lore of the game there's some pretty tragic stuff and theorizing to do. Again, something fans are drawn to do. Anytime a game is left up to the players interpretation it tends to attract lots of posts and fan art.
I know I'm being vague but I don't want to spoil specifics. This game is such an experience type game that I believe everyone should go in as blind as possible. I recommend you go do a Pacifist Route run. It is possible to go through the entire game without killing anyone and, plot wise, it is the most plot, lore and emotionally rewarding route. Also be on the lookout for easter eggs. After your full pacifist route playthrough, if you dont understand what makes this game great or why people are drawn to it then odds are you never will.
Some games just aren't for everyone and while I know fanbases can sometimes scare potential players away from great games it doesn't scare you away and I hope more and more people eventually play this game. At the very least the pacifist route. The other routes aren't as good except for getting extra lore, crushing your emotions and a cool Sans fight.
(PS: at the end of the pacifist route search for "him". Once you get that far you'll know who "he" is and your instincts should tell you where "he" is. Also bring a tissue, there may be tears.)
game is nothing like pokemon. Go play it again. you may quit again but if you got "pokemon" out of it, you're not doing it right or not paying attention.
For your trouble, have a prohint: the journey is just as important as the ending. if something strikes your fancy, try it. almost all of the time you will be rewarded with dialog. Use the cell phone, stick around in a fight longer than you have to. search around for the fourth frog.
it seems humanoid, but we can't really see much of her. its implied she might be a wolf, like an amalgamation between riding hood and the big bad wolf, throw the stick and you'll see.
SO uhhh... i dunno if anyone else is having this problem by my Heart keeps dragging to the right, and during my turn I can only choose between fight and mercy i cant pick item or act...
While i do get vibes of 'OC donut steel' from the character, the amount of effort put into this is staggering. Ive gotten many endings. 5 so far. Fight is fun and the music is good. Red spinning attack is gonna give me a rage induced stroke though.
ah its a standalone, damn
i was hoping to find some clues on the legality of modding undertale
the only way i can see is to decompile the exe and recompiling it so that you can replace the base file but i am not sure it is completely legal to distribute that
i mean, just the exe, none of the other essential files
