((Okay, sirgawain here. You may remember that I have posted the RP that Just-Face-Planted and Goat_Son did. Well, the chronology's all kinds of ****** up because Tumblr, and there have been more posts since then, so I'm going to post the whole "Frisk's Visit" thing all over again in one huge post, but I'm going to skip all the posts that spawed from it for the purpose of this comp and just stick with asks for these. I am trying my damndest to do the true pacifist run, but for some reason I keep forgetting something, like hanging out with Papyrus and Undyre (still no idea how to do that)

Anyone have any advice? I am probably going to restart again because I am getting stone walled like a mother ****** by Asgore

It's actually not that hard to get a true pacifist run. However, it is technically impossible to get it on the first go around, since the last quest with Alphys doesn't open up unless you've completed at least one neutral run. However, what you can do is complete a no-kill run, face and defeat Asgore And the boss that comes after him and afterwards reload the SAME file and go back to do all the important sidequests.

Here's a few tips for Asgore:

First, a tip for any boss in the game, if you have a controller you can use that, the game is actually controller compatible. You may find it more comfortable then arrow keys.

Second, talking to Asgore until you've expended all the talk options will reduce his attack and defense.

Lastly, if you've saved the butterscotch pie until that final battle, using it during the fight will also reduce his attack and defense further.

Everything else is practice.

Also, for hanging out with Paps & Undyne- go to Papyrus's house in Snowdin after defeating him. For Undyne, after you GIVE HER THE WATER HOLY **** THAT'S SO IMPORTANT you need to go to her house, right next to Blook Acres in Waterfall.

Nope, there's no actual canon for it, only implications. It's likely that they were one of 3 things: Dead, abusive, or irresponsible. Either they couldn't stand living with their abusive parents / in an orphanage and climbed Mt. Ebott to disappear, or their parents took them up to Mt. Ebott and just left them there.
Then, of course, there are theories aligning with the "Passive Chara" theory that have Frisk being a reincarnation of Chara, whose soul still persisted without a vessel after Asriel died.
In any case, if Frisk's old home was bad enough to run away from, it's unsurprising that they would choose to stay with Toriel instead.

That's fine, it's not like I'm gonna start mentioning people who prefer to avoid this type of content.
In most scenarios, I'd agree with you, but with Undertale, I feel a bit differently.
Partially because alternate timelines and alternate universes are a part of the game.
Partially because I was left unsatisfied by some loose ends (or ends that I wish were tied differently) in the endings.
Judging by the size of my mentions list, I'm not the only one.

To each their own.
