Copy of Papyrus? I don't follow. Are you saying it seems like Fatz is trying to make it so that this kid dies and turns into a skeleton, or simply that you hope the humans don't all draw a bunch of parallels to other characters?

the first choice...it just feels way too obvious and stupid... and seriously? you can see the kid that wears orange, talks like a great ham, has a thing for flashy clothing and heroics as being similiar in design for papyrus?


even if the worse doesnt come to pass. i really dont like paper thin copy characters...

Well, I suppose we'll see. I have literally no clue where the comic is going, and that's WITH seeing the unfinished comic strips on Patreon.
I also would prefer not to have the comic just make cookie-cutter characters, but the story isn't about those humans, it's about Asriel and Frisk hearing a story about Asgore & Toriel. The kids, I imagine, are more of a plot device than they are characters.
Again, we'll see where it goes.

thats ALSO a grief i have about the kids...as far as im aware, they have no purpose in the story...they more of feel like filler characters that shouldnt be there. i have liked this guys works so far..but this one seems to be taking a rather wobbly turn..honestly its not completely unsalvageable yet...as long as it doesnt make the stupid turn that i implied earlier it should still be within the idea of okay.

I doubt that's where it's going. Besides, I'm not sure Fatz has been writing original characters for a very long time, but I'm sure that if he does it more in the future, he'll git gud at it. That is, if these kids don't turn out to be surprisingly fleshed out.
I agree with you that things get a bit wobbly for me when the headcanons go off and assume a lot of stuff. When I saw that there was **** going on before the war and Toriel taking care of humans, it was weird, but idunno.
Undertale, with all it's timelines ******** going on, is an easy thing to make up headcanons and AUs for. Like, REALLY easy.
My main gripe is when people take characters who are ALREADY defined and then change **** to fit what they want or ship characters who don't even know each other.
All-in-all, I think the person I've seen keeping true to the characters best (while still making up a bunch of **** , but somehow actually cites things from the game that make it make sense) is Vee, the mun of Blooming-Dreemurr.


TLR headcanons are weird and Undertale makes it really easy to think them up.

well i knew it would be a tad wobbly since it only had few points going for it.

toriel and asgore existed before the war along the turtle.


and thats just about it...not only does he have only 3 characters to work with, he also has sorta wobbly backstory that he needs to build..outside of that.yes it went out and did a lot choises i dont agree with. but outside of the human kinds there isnt anything too bad...so ofcourse with little experience writing stuff it might end with him just making cariatures of the old characters for the sake of just trying to fill in the emptiness he feels his story might have had...buuUUUUuuut again...orange clothing,magic,penchant for ham....thats a bit too thin...

also i feel sans character has been flanderized to a broken point...
