It was pretty tight it my opinion, the revamped a lot of combat mostly with giving the greater weapons their own secondary attacks. Eats up your stamina but good if you are constantly aware of what weapon you have and when it applies. Added multiple bookmarks to planets or something. Finally added in working dyes Holy **** I wanted those really bad for some reason.
I think they added some mission things.
I'm not sure how stable any of it was, I didn't have a lot of time to play it. Definitely recommend it though.

Getting any weird lag since the update? I keep having **** that looks like my internet lagging (monsters pretty much teleporting around, sometimes waiting up to 10 seconds for the ground to appear and such), while also dropping fps bellow 30 for no real reason. Really annoying, never had that before

I haven't had any lag but my setup is pretty beastly. I don't get lag on a lot of things. Also, I didn't play online at all if that was a factor.

If you don't notice it, you may be part of the problem.

Don't get me wrong, Undertale was a great game, but it wasn't a perfect game. The characters are for the most part pretty bad, the story wasn't all that great by itself, and the gameplay mechanics were refreshing sure, but simple. What Undertale had was charm, cheap laughs, and a refreshing system of morality in combination with refreshing gameplay mechanics.

There are a few different types of people who play Undertale (or any game in general). Normal people who just enjoy the game (or not) and talk about it once in a while when it's relevant, people who love Undertale, who maybe play into the fandom a bit and make some Undertale related content once in a while, but overall don't let it consume them. And then there's the cancer, who go around spouting Undertale everywhere, making content that is hardly inspired, and just overall continuously ******** or talk about it. And there are A LOT of cancerous people like that in the Undertale fanbase.

Undertale fans tend to interject their "fandom" into every little ******* thing in the known universe. Obscure references that only make sense in an incredibly tangential way. People roleplaying as the characters all over the Internet (which is about the cringe worthy thing you can do). Interjecting and ranting about legitimate criticisms of the game at EVERY opportunity they get. People focusing on really, REALLY meaningless aspects of the game while ignoring what makes the game so great, really not doing the game any justice.

Not saying that Undertale fans are getting as bad as say FNAF or Homestuck, but they are pretty bad in the grand scheme of things.

Slow couple of months. People need something to hate on. The femnazi horse has been beaten for so long it no longer resembles a horse, more of a puddle of horse-like jelly, so it's not as fun to beat anymore, so people are desperately looking for something new.

Planescape: Torment.

-Very, very well written characters that make you feel like part of a family.
-You can be any shade of the alignment grid.
-You can nearly always talk your way out of a fight.
-Dying and coming back to life again is a central game and story mechanic
-The villains are not really villains, maybe
-You are not really a hero, maybe
- ******* awesome world to explore
-Great sense of humour

It's actually quite similar to Undertale, now that I think about it.

It's a pretty good game, maybe a little bit slow-paced and cheesy, but there are a good number of hidden things (pet this dog ten times and it will want to express its happiness, making a number of sculptures later in the game) that have been included. Also, the plot has surprising depth, with plenty of things becoming unexpectedly plot relevant, and ng+/- being actually somewhat different.

The game is okay, but ********* like you claiming it's a 10/10 really tickles my elitist sides.

It's okay that you're a ******* plebian with no taste in good stories because the story in that game is actually really ******* **** and it's okay that you don't understand how generic the gameplay is, and it's also okay for it to be the game you like most of all and claim that it is your personal 10/10, but the game is not a ******* 10/10.

It pisses me off that this generic piece of **** indie gets this much attention when other, better indie games get to eat **** and waffles because asshats like you exist.

I don't think it's that bad with Undertale, actually.

I'm usually first to get tired of something overly popular, so I assume that if the whole Undertale boom didn't sicken me when I didn't give a **** about the game, it couldn't have been that bad. It actually convinced me to check it out after some longer time. Especially posts and comments involving soundtrack - that **** was too cash to pass up.

Hell, I even checked its rule 34, as I do with everything that can get me curious enough, and most of it wasn't actually as repulsive and bizarre I was afraid it would be. Sure, a lot of wrong stuff, but other fandoms have it worse.

This makes me a little sad. I genuinely enjoyed Undertale for a number of reasons, but it looks like Toby is becoming increasingly disgruntled with the fandom. This is likely the reason why he's reluctant to add/finish any more content for Undertale.

I just hope that this doesn't discourage him from development in general. I would like to see what else he comes up with.

I've played through Undertale's pacifist, got the true ending, and even did a neutral run. I'm working on Genocide right now, but i'm stuck on Undyne the Undying.
Anyways, I don't think Undertale is nearly as emotional as everyone makes it out to be. Don't get me wrong, it's a fantastic game, but I never really connected or cared about any of the characters. Honestly, I killed Toriel like 3 times before I finally figured out the Genocide run correctly, and it didn't bother me. I just couldn't give a **** about the characters, because they weren't there long enough for me to do so.
Also, Toby Fox should be ******* glad the Sonic tweets mentioned his game, they're hilarious.

Is undertale really any good? I've never played it but I saw a few clips of it here and there, it just looks like some ****** retro-something-or-other. I've never seen past the first 20-30 mins of whatever happens but isn't it just

That's what I'm taking from it since everyone says you're a monster if you kill anything in that game.

If anyone can clarify what's really going on without spoiling anything and makes it seem like a worth game and not a hype train then I may get it.

It's a bit cutesy and slow-paced, but the plot is legit and the gameplay mechanics actually play a pretty big role. The plot isn't the biggest but it's polished and you'll probably end up rethinking a few things for the next run (linear with a few main branches, but lots of nice exploration).

I don't want to type out a legit review because I'm lazy, but here's a list of things i like about the game
Nice characters, good story, multiple endings, nobody has to die, phenomenal soundtrack, at least 3 dogs, new found hatred for fish, a ghost sandwich, and ez puzzles.
There's plenty more but again, I'm lazy.

If you don't feel like buying it before playing it, go get the demo. It's on sale on steam right now i think for like 7.99 instead of 9.99.

Some of the enemies are mini-puzzles in figuring out how to befriend and spare them, as well as having to dodge their attacks bullet hell style every step of the way. On a pacifist run you literally never get exp and lv up, so your health and defense always remains minimum as the enemies get tougher.

The best part about Undertale is that your in-game decisions actually matter, and if you play through it more than once making different decisions, it's an entirely different game.

I would have been more open-minded about it if someone had explained it to me just like that beforehand. Instead, I begrudgingly tried to steamroll through it so my brother and his girlfriend would quit badgering me about. I was hating it out loud the entire time I was playing, but by the time I got to the end, I had come around to liking it.

Honestly, it's the characters. The game play itself is innovative since it combines real time and turn based gameplay seamlessly with the mini games from attacks. The story is also great and every action you take does affect the rest of the game. But as I said at the beginning, it's the characters. Most people, like myself, do a true pacifist run because you get to meet every character and become friends and it actually affects the game, especially near the end.

Also the pacifist ending made me cry like a bitch, 10/10.

It's a cool game, shame that the fanbase has turned into such cancer. I know, "every fandom has some annoying people", will be said, but no. Avatar was posted a bit too much, but that never turned into cancer. Gravity Falls has freaks that "ship" Dipper and Mabel, but it isn't cancer. Adventure Time is a strong one as well.

Undertale is the new FNAF.

not the new fnaf as toby isnt releasing a new undertale games in 4 month interoles, and so far fnaf is still semi popular so not much is going to uproot it for a while. i wouldnt say undertale is cancer to the same degree as other fan bases since it has less cancerous things being made by the fans then other fanbases. all fanbases have cancer in them its just most have 0.1% or so of cancer and cring, undertale has 5%, mlp has 20% now a days, fnaf is 50%, sonic has 25% from my observations anyway
