It's one of the endings. The best possible neutral ending (as far as I know) to be exact. And some find it especially heartbreaking just for that fact. You became friends with everyone. You didn't kill anybody. Yet you didn't do enough, so all those friends are now probably forever trapped underground while you live on above ground.
I'm currently playing to get the Pacifist ending, how do I go about getting the neutral ending? By best possible neutral ending, you mean there's a different neutral ending?
I don't know why but this game seems to be really light-hearted and I love it.
Spare everyone and do the side missions for undyne and papyrus (the dates) to get the pacifist neutral ending. flowey will appear and tell you to load your save and what to do to get the true ending.
The neutral endings are all the endings between the genocide and mercy endings. In these ones you didn't kill absolutely everyone you could but also didn't spare and/or befriend everyone you could. There's a lot of them because there's a different one for every combination of bosses killed and spared.
The best possible neutral ending, on the other hand, has to be gotten before the true/pacifist ending can be gotten. In it, you did everything you could: you spared every enemy and boss and then befriended every boss.
Spare everyone and do the side missions for undyne and papyrus (the dates) to get the pacifist neutral ending. flowey will appear and tell you to load your save and what to do to get the true ending.
It's called undertale, I keep typing out a huge thing to it for everyone. So I'll just say this, It's 10/10. I liked it more than MGS5, not ******** , play it, love it, buy the soundtrack, join the community, you won't regret it. ******* DO IT M8
And a word of advice, Even if it seems like there is simply no way to get past them without killing everyone. There is, stay determined to become friends with everyone.
Eeeehm,i have some questions.
I started playing this last time.
I managed to kill Mom at the start where she blocks the door.
I didnt let that skeleton spare me so i killed him too.
Now the question, there will be a different outcome if i dont kill them?
If yes then just tell me yes or no,dont spoil me anything.
Thanks
But...i killed so many so far.
And i couldnt do anything more in the 2 lover dogs.I made them think i am a puppy but i couldn do anything else...should i have asked for mercy there?THats the only thing i forgot to do...
Always try every act at least twice, and if a different response comes, try as long as there's fresh dialogue, then try once or twice more to be sure. Then if after that you still can't spare them, try something else again. Maybe something new will happen. Some dual encounters also need you to do something for both of them or only one of them. Also, always hit the green projectiles. They are always harmless and more often than not needed for sparing the monster. And remember to check the monsters name in the act or attack menus every turn to see if it's turned yellow. That means you can spare them.
A few things to note: If you want to get the Pacifist Ending, DO NOT do the genocide ending FIRST. The game knows.
When trying to get the pacifist ending, the most important thing is that you NEVER have to press the fight button, except for the last 2 bosses: ASGORE and FLOWEY.
There is ALWAYS another way. Remember the wise words of the Froggit: "Sometimes, you may need to SPARE opponents even if their name isn't yellow..."
I ended it and i got the evil ending,i killed literally everyone except the ghost. The game closed and opened many times, the final boss (flower) changed my savefile etc,but i ended it regardless.
I didnt even spare that one,he told me i had it in me afterall and the game closed.Cool story
I reset and so far i have spared every single monster. After MANY spares,Grandma let me pass.
Right now hes still in the tutorial with the cow lady. His friend saved him by telling him to talk to the dummy and not fight it. I wonder what happens if you fight it?
