Okay, I didn't look at the comp, but since this is the umpteenth Undertale post I've seen in the last week can I get some unbiased information about it?
1) Is Undertale an actually good game, or is it an okay game but the quirkiness makes up for it?
2) I'm broke, is Undertale still worth picking up at full price or should I wait for a sale?
3) What is it about?
4) Various other tidbits that you believe will persuade me into making an informed decision about getting the game.

**anonymous rolled image**1. It's a great game. Best quality is that it makes you fall in love with the characters . . . one way or the other. The more you hurt them, the more they make you feel like an asshole.
2. I would pay full price and play it fast so you can potentially enjoy the hype-fueled content.
3. It's about learning your choices have consequences and contemplating your motivation as a gamer. The monsters don't fight your character. They fight your will to go on as a gamer.
4. If you wish to one day do a genocide run, play through the pacifist first (it will permanently alter your files and subsequent play-throughs). The game also remembers every time you've started a new game and which name you used. Your decisions really, REALLY matter.

3. undertale is a game very dependant on it's story and characters... going in blind is the best way to do this

1) It's unique, the battle system of having a pseudo sh'mup game inside an RPG is decently fun, but it's heavily dependent on it's characters with a very bland story, and If you, like me, hate the characters, the game is an absolute drag to play through. The game tries to force a half-assed moral system down your throat, that rewards you with characters living and further developing, but they don't develop much, so if you hate them at first, you'll still hate them later. Take the battle system and put it in a different game and my opinions would have been different, but that one aspect is not enough to make up for all the aspects that drew me away from the game.
2) Play the demo first, then decide for yourself, but I always say wait for a sale

4) The creator put a lot of love into the game, and you can see it if you look around. It's quite fun to see every little detail, not to mention the soundtrack is amazing, including Toby Fox's magnum opus itself, Megalovania in the genocide route . Plus the fact that you can beat the game at level 1 is always a plus in my book.

1) At first I didn't like Undertale. I thought it was nothing but a bandwagon. But then someone bought it for me. I played it through and, despite knowing somewhat about the story prior to playing, I had a great time actually playing it. Story was pretty solid, and the game is well deserving of the fandom it has.
2) I'd say it's worth its full price, but since Christmas is just around the corner, I'd suggest you wait until then. But that's only because of how close the Christmas sale is to us right now. If we weren't near it, I'd say full price is worth it.
3) You know how a lot of people like to complain that your actions have no consequences in other video games? Undertale is not one of these. There's a lot of hidden things in it, and doing specific things will prompt things to happen that can be missed on its first playthrough.
4) It's a bullet hell type of game, but a lot of the "bullets" are pretty creative. Some of them are smaller versions of the enemies you're fighting in some cases.
