Don't his parents know he turned into a plant? I tried looking it up in the wiki, but English isn't my first language so I only understood like 75% of it.

The dude died and his ashes landed on the flower (monster possess the thing their ashes are layed upon), alphys later gave a soul to that flower in an experiment.

He had literally no emotions. And he was stuck in an endless loop. He speaks about how he has talked to everyone so many times, he has made everyone happy, but it gets boring. Its basicly like playing skyrim so much until you are bored and kill all the city guards for fun.
