lol, there's more fanart of him ******* his son than him ******* his ex-wife.
In all seriousness though, the doughy, sensitive guy who loves tea and gardening doesn't scream 'straight'. Plus, a lot more gays find chubby, older guys attractive, so of course the majority of artists will draw him that way.
>never mind the fact that he canonically practically begs for his wife to come back
>the fandom made him gay so he's clearly gay
>he also likes nonmasculine things, so clearly he's gay
See this image? thats me in my hospital bed, because your tumblr ass cringe garbage gave me cancer, also you may ask why i'm not actually in the bed? Because i'm a ghost.
I think for something to be considered cancerous, it must satisfy two conditions:
1. Explodingly popular
2. Highly distorted from the original material; usually destructive to the source material.
It also applies, more or less to cancer cells, i.e. they multiply rapidly, and no longer the original cells that they were.
Now for another (cultural rather than physical) example where the cancer definition works: Rage Faces. First condition is self evident in the 2011 period. Second condition can be seen in more than way. A few examples of those: they were widely mis-named; "meme faces", "Trolls"... etc, to the point people didn't even know, nor cared to know, why they were named as such, or what they were even properly named.
Another example where the definition doesn't work: Star Wars. It is obviously popular, so first condition is satisfied. But it wasn't distorted in almost anyway, and people hanging on the canon with their teeth, with intrinsic and thorough debate over even the most hypothetical conditions.
Now, for the main question: Does this work with One Punch Man, as we can see it's already popular and continues to gain popularity. But has the source material been highly distorted? Mostly, no. There are not many claimed "ships" circling the fan base. Saitama's attitude is mostly correct and highly capitalized as the punch line( no puns intended) of the jokes/comics, and so is Geno's. I haven't sense much distortion in the fan base, so I don't think it qualifies.
Tl;dr: in my opinion One-Punch Man is just popular, not cancerous. And ironically, the use of the word "cancerous" has become cancerous.
> Litteraly 1 example of merged fandoms in this comp
> Proceeds to inject their ****** game into every other show or game, exactly as the pony-tards do.
Fandoms don't control their animators, people in literaly every single fandom do that, maybe you shouldn't judge a whole fandom by a few animators.
I'm not saying it isn't, my point is that a lot of people on here are like "Eww someone combined Undertale with (X), this is cancer" , but then turn around and be like "Yeah let's put warhammer **** on everything because I love it".
It's like " ************ you just got done make fun of someone else for the same exact thing,"
then you should have pointed out the hypocrisy in it. the way your message was constructed made it seem as if you didnt think combining fandoms to each other wasnt cancerous because other fandoms did it.
My apologies if my message wasn't as clear as I meant for it to be, but yeah, I have always hated this.
Still, I do find the Undertale and Warhammer stuff humerous, and at least neither has gotten as bad as the old days....like when there were people that made things like Sephiroth the Hedghog.
Are you actually getting onto him for thinking he wasn't agreeing that it was 'cancer'? Is that what it is on FJ? People so desperate for the fandom-hate circlejerk that they can't handle people not agreeing something is 'cancer'?
No, not really. People like crossovers. People consider this sort of **** all the time. You've done it, don't ******* lie. Then, some people with some sort of skill, music or art or animation, will actually make some of them happen. Either as a serious project or a throwaway laugh.
It's not harmful. It's not destructive. Just fans of multiple shows/games/whatever doing their thing. It's not worth forming a hateful, simple-minded opinion over. It is normal. What is abnormal is all the hate generated by people just looking to **** on fandoms. That's what's unnatural.
I cannot tell you how many guys I've seen who have used Sephiroth as a profile icon or character portrait that were complete edgelords with overinflated egos. The reason why is because I'd like to forget about them as soon as possible.
Yes. Whichever planet you're on needs to go. Let people enjoy their fandoms and material in peace. It does not require you attacking the source material, fan material, or the fans themselves. It does not make you cool or less of an anomaly in the human gene spool to do so.
The UT fanbase is surprisingly chill and tame. They have one of the more laid-back approaches to their enthusiasm out of the current large fandoms. Others just get too excited about what they like and make targets out of themselves in large numbers - and everyone looking for the freak of the week to **** on to make themselves look like part of the 'in' crowd immediately begins circlejerking over hating said fandom.
UT's fanbase has just been doing normal fandom things rather quietly, respectively. Nothing to really dislike from an objective comparison point of view.
undertale was ranked over ocarina of time for best game of all time in a poll. just let that sink in for a moment. its a decent game but the fans are so rabid they do that.
You don't have to be rabid to have an opinion. I know people who've never touched OoT or any LoZ game. I know people who just flat-out don't like them.
If you're comparing UT to the nostalgia of playing OoT back in the day, sure - OoT wins hands down. If you're comparing them on a modern level, then I'd say it's completely up to how strongly a person feels about each game (which are wildly different to begin with) and what it means to them. How it clicks.
That's entirely, completely normal - wouldn't you agree? FJ is a strange, strange place - anything popular is evil cancer, and not liking older popular things as much as currently popular things makes you a loony fan.
my thing is that undertale isnt that good. dont get me wrong its good for what it is but overall it isnt this masterpeice that should be heralded as the best thing ever. it will likely be forgotten soon byut thats just my opinion
you only think so highly of OoT because of the nostalgia and because it's considered a sin to not love it with every fiber of your being.
don't get me wrong, I'm a huge Zelda fan. I just acknowledge that the fanbase I belong to sometimes overrates some of it's games okay all fanfases do this. and refuses to take off the nostalgia goggles.
I actually think it's a little bit of fanboy arrogance from you to be upset that some game went past a game that is quite honestly getting kinda old already even if we have the remake . I played undertale once through, and I gotta say that it has a tight competition with OoT. and yeah, I know that OoT was a big thing back in the day and revolutionalized a bunch of stuff but the same can be said from undertale. I was shocked about the fourth wall breakings and the "meta" save features. It did caught me off guard and I realized that I felt the similar childhood wonder as I did with OoT years ago.
the fanbase of undertale may be kinda icky but the game is pretty damn solid.
no dont get me wrong. im not sayign that ocarina of time is the best game ever in any way shape or form. what im saying is it is largely considered the best game of all time while and was beaten by a game thats alright.
La-Mulana wasn't an option in that poll, so I went with the second-best game.... but, of ******* course, Warframe wasn't there. neither was my #3, Wind Waker, so went with Undertale...
Some of us just didn't find our game listed very highly enough to be a major vote-pick.
