the only way to fight sans is on the genocide route, the only way to get on the genocide route is to go out of your way to kill **** including papyrus who doesn't even attack you in the route.

It is because Sans knows that the world has been reset before and it will happen again.
He cannot remember anything from the previous worlds but he knows that they have existed and been reset.
He is that way because he knws that everything he does is futile and doesn't matter because the world will be reset in the future.

That aspect of him makes people sympathize with him and love him

Nihilism is the philosophy that life is pointless, nothing you do matters and ultimately your existence is completely meaningless. He's sad, because he knows that nothing he dies matters and his existence is completely meaningless, because it'll just keep resetting over and over again. And depression and nihilism are not mutually exclusive. In fact, it can be a cause of depression. Like it is in his case.

Even the happiest True Pacifist Ending was too sad for me. I might actually become dangerously, viscerally depressed if I tried Genocide. I mean, the first thing you wind up having to do is kill Mamagoat. How the **** do you get attached to and love these characters then kill them.

Quit being a sappy faggot , jesus christ. I'm so sick and tired of people hating the genocide run. The genocide run added so much more plot and lore, yes I love the characters and plot of undertale but to have all that sappy goodness and typical "HERO SAVES THE DAY" is ******* boring. If I wanted that I'd go watch the 500 saturated animes with the same plot like that. Genocide gave Sans his personality, it showed floweys vulnerable weak bitch side, it showed how desperate everyone in the underground became when a super power is needed to be stopped. **** off

Ok, go ahead and spoil for me, i'm really curious:

When you complete the true pacifist route You save everybody and free them, and it's when it's revealed that the character true name is frisk, but what happens when you complete genocide? So far as i can get you face a different last boss and the character is not frisk, but chara. It's that it? Because i'm not sure, and i'm not in the mood to kill anyone, i just finished the true pacifist.

Actual spoilers for geno, but not everything.
There's a slightly different Undyne fight, dif dialogue (duh) and frisk is technically possessed, and you end up destroying the world. The new last boss is fun though, and the end it pretty rad
You should do it, it's pretty fun tbh.

You can indeed do that. But you will have to need to know who the final boss is. Else you might think *there is more* and it then ends without you being able to stop it. so be carefull

She's old in years, not in body. Boss Monsters don't age until they have kids. Then the kid drains their yearly progression out of their parents more or less until the parents die, the new Boss Monster is an immortal adult until they too have kids.

And Toriel and her husband Asgore lost their son, he died along with his adopted brother. They became immortal again after only a few years. So she can be like, 3000 years old but still more or less late 30s.
