i was fighting her my first run and was planning on doing the mercy thing like every other person with a heart
then i somehow did 200 attack for some reason
uninstalled and reinstalled the WHOLE game and started over but the flower remembered and i felt like a ******* monster
I thought it was more because he would rather "sit meekly underground, hoping another human never comes" allowing monsters to suffer, instead of actually going through the barrier when he hat ONE soul
I think it's because He would kill any human who came into the underground where Toriel would rather not.
From the wiki entry on Toriel:
"Asgore is Toriel's ex-husband, Toriel left him after the death of their son Asriel and the first Fallen Child because she disapproved of Asgore's plan to use human souls to break the barrier and restart the war between humans and monsters - and even more than that, his unwillingness to truly dedicate himself to this plan. Because of this and Asriel's death, Toriel no longer uses the Dreemurr family name."
No, it's straight up Toriel left Asogre because she couldn't stand to watch everyone waiting miserable for the human souls, so she went to the ruins, not wanting anything to do with asgore's lack of determination.
That's just a wiki (as in 'what I know is'), it needs a source. Best would be if you had that the author themselves said something, or if you referenced a specific dialogue in the game.
In the actual dialogue on the pacifist route, Toriel actually contradicts the wiki. She says she wishes that Asgore had used the one soul to go to the land of humans and get 6 more quickly instead of wait. Wiki is wrong =p
",,,and even more than that, his unwillingness to truly dedicate himself to this plan."
What you said is indeed covered by the wiki. It's really that there's multiple reasons.
So she's definitely okay with killing humans to giterdun. She just doesn't want to sit around waiting yeah? Now i'm confused why she wanted to save the kiddos that fall down the hole. Maybe it's just to spite her ex
Sounds like you need more determination my friend. it's possible to backtrack all the way to the ruins, and the field of golden flowers that breaks the player character's fall. Asriel is there tending them, still in his childlike appearance. He says it would be better if his parents didn't know he existed, and that "someone has to take care of these flowers;" badgering him any further results in him explaining that the First Human was significantly crueler than he or anyone else implied previously, explaining their vicious outlook on life. If he is pressed further he asks if the player character has nothing better to do. It seems impossible to save Asriel from returning to his soulless form of Flowey.
(Straight from the wiki. It's alot more SOUL quenching than it looks) Soul. Get it? Hahahaha.
Well then go play it ya dingus, it's $10 bucks on steam and you get hours of gameplay out of it, a cast of lovable characters, awesome music, breaking the fourth wall and much more. The more reward ending is the pacifist no kill, friend everyone ending, not going lie, I'm a man and it made me tear up but it up to you what pass you want to take.
