Not really to tell you that you are wrong but more a counter argument. The game is so great because of how different it is. It turns your standard RPG formula on its head, adds a unique combat system, quirky plot and characters, and brings back an art-style that is hard to replicate. Not to mention it evokes nostalgia for many of us older gamers who loved the **** out of Earthbound.

Yes the game can be slow and repetetive at time but it is not meant to be Call of Duty or Skyrim action packed adventure. It's meant to be a story-driven experience, so it of course wont cater to all tastes. For those who enjoy story, like people who enjoy the Ico franchise or games like Dark Souls (hate me if you want this game was all about story. the combat was repetitive and slow as balls), its a diamond.
